We had my sister-in-law's bridal shower here we bought a bottle to get a table at the VIP section and at first we had a good time we had to keep waiting awhile for the girl to come and take our orders but we were listening to the music dancing and having a good time besides the guys next to us kept coming and bothering us we tried to make the best out of it however when it came time to pay they first told us their machine was broken so we had to wait after waiting about half hour they came and told us our cards were declined which we knew we're not possible we walk to the register with them and the guy who is handling the register looked drunk out of his mind and was manually typing in all sorts of numbers that weren't correct so my friend kept asking them if they can switch the person at the counter because it was 4 in the morning and we wanted to go but the guy kept swiping and typing in numbers so my friend got frustrated and started talking loudly saying he keeps swiping my card and entering numbers what if he charges me more than once get someone else the girl who was our waiter and puts a smirk on her face so my friend told her you think this s* is funny this bill is over $700 this is not a $20 bill you guys need to get your s* together all of a sudden a bouncer comes and starts telling her she needs to go and start trying to push her out and calling his friends so we are all trying to explain to him that we just want to pay our bill and they are giving us a hard time because the guy doesn't know what he's doing we told them that the guy must be drunk or super tired whatever it is but he keeps swiping the card but the bouncer kept literally trying to push her out so she mushed him and said get the hell off of me I'm not leaving without my cards because the guy at the register still had all of our credit card and he's telling her that he'll bring it to her after and now he's calling more people making the only show and also antagonizing my friend the other two men who came over were listening to her and actually being nice and letting her explain exactly what was wrong and he kept coming and screaming get her the hell out of here get her the hell out even the other bouncers were telling him chill we got it and he kept coming toward the staircase yelling get her out get her the hell out instead of diffusing the situation which is why he is there he kept antagonizing her because his feelings were hurt we would never step foot in this place again they are very shady I wouldn't trust these people with your credit card at all and they should not allow anyone who is staff there to be getting drunk on the job to where they can't even get their s* right at the register they are messing with people's money and anytime you leave this place I will double check your card and always ask for a receipt because that was another thing they claimed they couldn't give us a receipt that everything was electronically done it was a lot of shade I think they know people are having a good time having some drinks and they're trying to get over and scam people if I can give this a -1...
Read moreThis review is strictly for the downstairs area service and manager.
Rooftop was amazing and fun.
I'm in town visiting (6/29/21) and was brought to this establishment. The interior is huge and on the top there is a bar and dj. We decided to go back downstairs for food due to there being no clean tables upstairs.
We were sat with Andrea around 1015pm. I know because we did an escape room that ended at 945 and headed over. Some friends went down first while some of us went to wash our hands. Sat down and no waitress. When she returned she had nothing with her even though two people had asked her for water and sugar. We asked this waitress for sugar TEN times. When she approached the table, she did not ask if we wanted appetizers. Instead, she dropped the water off and attempted to go to another table. We called her back immediately and she seemed very annoyed.
There were three tables- a couple, two guys, and us. They were not busy at all and the two guys were leaving. Eventually we ordered appetizers (after waiting more) and then she walks over to the door and starts flirting with a security guard. LITERALLY! She and the guy were hugging and talking and giving one another all type of body language. We called her back for the sugar (this was the 10th time). We only saw her (when we arrived after washing hands) three times). In that span, each of us (6 of us total) asked for sugar (two of us twice).
When she brought the food out she disappeared. She never returned until the end. My sister in law ordered lobster- didn't know they were out of lobster until they arrived with the food. Never heard from her. We had to FIND her to pay for our meal. By this time we were all pretty annoyed. We asked for the manager (once we paid) and he comes up, acts bothered too, and says, "Why didn't you all call for me earlier?"... essentially victim blaming. The best part was when we were explaining what happened and the waitress starts to go off. As a waitress myself, I allow my manager to handle the situation and then I follow up, apologize, and the customers leave. There was no apology. The manager halfed apologized and offered a drink but we wanted to leave and go to another bar.
So we left. We came back though because the roof wasn't the problem, neither was the establishment, it was the server and the manager. Upon entering, the security (who was (we assumed the boyfriend)) says, "What's the point? Why come back to a place you were going off about?" Excuse me? He was also rude. All three should be reprimanded but seeing how service was, this place has very little pride so I don't expect much.
We allowed her to keep her tip (they force gratuity) and we aren't mean people. Karma will follow, I'm sure. We were never asked did we wish to split our bill. It was a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Service and food definitely zero stars for me. The one star is for the rooftop experience.
All in all. I will come back for the rooftop but not the food or service downstairs. I should also mention that no manager walked around. No one checked on us (as...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible experience. I am not one to review or speak with managers but this has been one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a restaurant. I made reservations for my mother’s birthday and this was such an embarrassment. I was better off going to Ruth’s Chris but was afraid of the children in our family being disruptive. I ordered a “premium” margarita…FYI don’t waste your time or money. The glass was missing the salt or sugar around the rim and tasted more like lemonade than a margarita. Waitress never even asked if it was OK or if all was well. The gentleman that brought the food didn’t know which taco was what nor could explain what each one was. My nephew ordered a sirloin taco and a skirt steak taco, my son ordered a skirt steak taco, both skirt steak tacos came on the same dish rather than separated for each person. I ordered queso fundido and all they brought were 3 tortillas, which is not enough to share as an appetizer. The waitress never asked if everything was OK and had to ask for additional tortillas for those who were going to share. I finished my drink before my meal and was never asked if I wanted another drink or something else. I pretty much had to settle for water the rest of the meal. Fast forward to the end (not going to mention the issues that occurred with the others). Online I had written that this was for a birthday celebration, prior to arriving I called and mentioned the same thing, and it was mentioned again to the waitress and no Birthday desert was brought nor offered. My sisters and I had to scramble last minute and find a Publix to buy her a cake to at least sing with her and her grandchildren. An automatic 20% tip was included and the service was far from deserving a 20% tip. It was almost as if the waitress knew she was going to get this tip no matter what and didn’t have to provide simple courtesy and attentiveness. Let me add that when I called prior to going the way the person answered the phone was pretty much like if I was calling a friend, “Hello this is so and so.” No good evening, name of location I was calling, how can I help you….” WOW. If you’re looking at this review and deciding to go take my advice, we should’ve listened to the couple that was sitting outside when we got there and said, “the food...
