Dined in on 4/22/21 at 1:59pm. Ordered 2-3pc fish dinners. My order included the broccoli and slaw my husbands order included the corn on the cob and fries. Usually we do not have a problem at this restaurant, however, this visit was a disaster. My husbands fries were delivered to the table cold. My husband had to go to the order counter to ask for a new order of "hot fries". After several minutes my husband went to the ordering counter to ask where the replacement fries were. The waitress found them on another patrons table. She removed the fries from that table and proceeded to offer those same fries to my husband. My husband refused the fries and asked for a refund of the value of the fries since he was finished eating by then. The waitress handed him a quarter which he promptly refused as insulting. This restaurant has seen some staffing changes to thedetriment of the restaurant. I don't know if we will return any time soon. So sad, I really liked the lobster rolls.
ALSO, this restaurant NEVER "made good" on the 4/22/21...

You get whatever sauces you like, pick a seat, and soon a server will emerge with your tray (have your order number handy in case they don't remember you). Paper towels are at the tables instead of napkins; that's clever, as the food is greasy. When done eating, take your plate to the trash can, dump your trash, and put the plate in the dish bin. Captain D's is frequented by everyone: good ol' boys and business people, families and single diners. You'll be welcome there. Handicap accessibility: 7/10. It's technically accessible but kinda cramped.
Pros: Captain D's is great food. For seafood, I wouldn't say it's the best, but for fast food, it's top notch. I usually come here at least once a month, and the service is friendly. They have malt vinegar for the fish. Cons: It's a bit on the expensive side, but I'm not even going to complain much about that since it's higher-quality fast food. I think the biggest problem I have is that it can take a while to get my food even in drive thru (but when I do, it's always...
Read moreAfter happily visiting WP Captain D's for the last 33 years, unfortunately I think we won't be coming back. The constant inconsistency with decent employees and service is really disheartening. The main woman at the front counter charged me wrong 3 times in a row, got our drinks wrong, and when I questioned the brand new rule of only allowing 1 free child's meal with 1 adult entrée I was treated like I was nuts for even asking. Now because of this brand new rule, that wasn't online or even spoken of until I noticed a sign that was covered, my family won't be able to afford to continue coming back. Not only that, now the optional drink is no longer optional and I'm required to pay $1.69 for a drink that I don't allow my kids to have. I miss the old Captain D's. We were treated like family, served with kindness, and any mistakes (which used to be rare) were immediately corrected. Customer service and dedication has slipped and it really hurts my heart to...
