I cannot thank google enough for the option to edit a review because it is important that you see what I wrote above a year ago.
My mother had surgery today and now that she can eat I wanted get her a turkey hoagie. I ordered 2, the woman that took the order said that it would be ready in ten minutes. I thought that was odd because I have never been quoted less than 20 minutes. I should have canceled mynorder then but, I showed up 15 minutes later and gave my name to the same woman that took my order. She said that she doesn't have an order for that name. After a few seconds she asked if it was take out. That confused me. I think she assumed I was a dasher. She found the order and then took my payment. Then I waited. After 10 minutes, she made eye contact with me accidentally from across the restaurant and then went to check on my order. She asked someone are they "making it", they replied "are they here", she replied "yes" and then came to tell me "it's done they are just bagging it." 5 minutes later she asks someone, do they both have fries, they reply yes, and she replies they dont get chips and fries. (I asked for the chips to be substituted with fries). When she came out, I jokingly said, hey I'll take the chips to if the fries are extra any way. She then went full on lecture mode and told me fries are up charged and cannot be substituted for chips. I said I was kidding but curious if they were substituted or additional charge. She (more rudely than the first time) repeated her previous statement as she turned her back to exit the conversation. I'd like to say she was busy and didn't have time...however..smh...
When I got home and took the food out, I was short an order of fries. Which happens. Too far away, I really just wanted to call back and tell this very rude person that, while she was in my bag so concerned about whether or not I had chips, you should have been confirming that I atleast had my order.
She called me a liar. She said that she is the general manager and that she counts all boxes and their were four. She then said if I was short an order if fries, what was in the fourth box. I exclaimed there was no fourth box. She cut me off everytime I spoke and kept asking for my number to give me free fries. I explained that I wasn't calling for free food. I was just calling to let her know I was short an order of fries.
I eat here all the time. I am always treated well. But unfortunately she was too rude for me to return. I am certain that my absence wont affect your bottom line Carbines, but i promise your new GM will if she doesnt realize she works in customer service. I cant believe how rude she was in person and on the phone. And telling people you are the general manager while acting like that baffles me in a customer service environment.
Giving people the benefit of the doubt, I'll assume she wasn't scheduled to work this shift but, one of the perks of being GM is you work someone else can't. Don't take it out on the customers!!!

Read moreGood idea, bad execution. I was excited that they now serve breakfast so we wanted to try it out. We waited for a table to be cleared, but that was no big deal. They promptly took care of it and we were seated. The waitress was very pleasant and brought our menus and drinks and took our order. After that the service deteriorated. I wanted more coffee but our original waitress was hanging by the bar and never came back. During this time the booth next to us finished and anew customers were seated. At this time we had been there about 20 minutes and I was in need of more coffee. I politely asked a different waitress for more coffee and she brought me a carafe. The other tables has carafes so I don’t know why I wasn’t originally brought one. Then we settled down for the wait. We actually discussed that it was good they had a simple menu to make the choices easier. We continued to wait. We would have asked about the delay but there was no one to ask. ( this is small seating area so It perplexed me) We would Finally my food arrived by a different waitress, the one that got me coffee. She was polite and asked if we needed anything. When the food arrived, this was about 30 minutes after we arrived and by the second waitress, it was hot and very good. Surprisingly the table that was sat 20 minutes after us was delivered their food right after us. Our original waitress did a cursory stop by to ask how we liked our food that was almost gone by this time. When we were finished the wait began again. Wondering where out check was. By this time the seating area was almost empty and that included the waitresses were nowhere to be seen. I got up and stood by the counter. I looked in the entryway. I couldn’t find anyone to help me. I than put my head in the kitchen and asked for someone to bring me my check because I wanted to leave. Read moreI would not go to the Carbone's in west Saint Paul ! The owner is a dick !!!! Monday me and my mom ordered a pizza and cheese bread . When I got home the pizza was cold , and both were undercooked !!!! So I called them and they said they would send out a coupon . So today I got a coupon for 5$ off a purchase of 30$ ... Are you kidding me ??? We spent 27$ already ! So basically you need to pay them 25 more to get a deal ? And there was also a letter with it saying we're sorry , we like to satisfy are customers ? ! So when I opened it up I thought to myself that is just a rip off ! I called and asked to talk to a manager , I then was on the phone with the owner . I told him that I called Monday , and what was wrong with my order ! He said what they wrote was that there was barely any cheese on are pizza . When that wasn't even the reason . The owner remind you , had the audacity to tell me there's no way it could be cold ! And they only get complaints about being cold in the winter , basically telling me I'm lying ! As a owner / manager you are supposed to satisfy your customers , like the letter you sent to my address says ! You never tell a customer there lying , or say anything there saying is wrong ! You can't run a business like that . So my boyfriend talked to him on the phone and told him everything , of how he is a manger / owner and can't even run a business and telling us were lying ? Then my boyfriend said you really gave us a 5$ off card but you have to purchase 30 to use it ? He hung up on us on the phone !! So we went there , he tells us he's not going to argue with us! And if we're looking to get a free meal he won't be giving it to us !!!! Remind you he said he's been in business for 40 some years ! Your customers are what make your business ! The owner is this cheap to not satisfy his customers and give them back what wasn't...
