Update: Stopped in here for take 2 on our way back home (10/17/25 I think). Food was only slightly better. Sandwiches were hot this time but fries still weren’t full. Outdoor trash can was overflowing onto ground. Women’s restroom wasn’t super clean. And full disclosure…I told the cashier at the register I was Google reviewing the place so he yelled back to cook to make burgers hot. Everyone was friendly but I did notice some service issues as in slow gear. Still would not recommend this place unless you have to.
I would not recommend this Burger King. There are a million of them out there. Skip it and hope for better luck at the next one. If I could give 2.5 ⭐️s I would. In some cases, it was 2 ⭐️s at best. So we stopped this Burger King on 8/10/25 on our way to southwest VA. We got our food to go and ate in the car bc we have dogs and it was hot out. A very relaxed attitude almost like we’re not really working here. No one was rude but it felt like the staff was maybe friends outside of work and that their conversation was their first priority and work was second. Definitely wasn’t a “Welcome to Burger King, what can we get you?” type atmosphere. Everything was happening in slow speed. When we got out to the car and opened the bag, the two large fries we’d ordered weren’t anywhere close to full. And if this is a corporate rule (delicately place the fries in the container so it looks full but definitely don’t pack them down at all bc then we won’t cut cost at all), then y’all should just stop bc as soon as your employees drop the fry containers in the to go bag, they immediately look half full. It just looks bad, doesn’t present well, and for $5 for a large fry, I feel like you can do better than seriously skimping on them. So we took the half full fries still in the bag back in and they gave us new fries that were much better, fuller. Back in our car, and started to eat the sandwiches which were like warm at best. We have eaten in so many Burger Kings in so many different towns. We know what the food is supposed to taste like, how it’s supposed to be look when given to the customer. My husbands whopper with cheese (no onions) and my plain burger were mediocre at best. At this point though, we weren’t going back in even tho we were still sitting in the parking lot and could easily have. The women’s restroom had some trash on the floor. The dining room appeared to be pretty clean and ready for guests as far as I could tell. Plenty of parking outside including handicapped spots right in front of the door. It does have a drive thru if that’s your jam. They also provided a trash can outside which seemed to be reasonably empty at the time so that’s good. We will give this place another try on our way back home and see if it was a fluke. I’ll definitely update the review afterward. I know y’all can do better than this. Maybe raise the bar...
Read moreWhen I arrived at the store I was the only person in line. After waiting and waiting I finally signaled one of the employees to take my order when he finally looked at me. I did this because the whole time this younger guy was literally right behind the older lady that seemed to be the manager and running things. He was literally almost touching her he was so close to her and he was not doing anything. After I signaled him he raised his one finger and said one minute then came over finally to take my order. I told him I wanted the Fish sandwich meal and to add cheese on the sandwich, immediately he looked confused and froze. he kept looking bad at the older woman he was originally hovering behind and finally yells, "MOM." So that explains alot... His mommy had to come over and show him how to add cheese to my order. After finally placing my order I asked If I could have my drink cup because he did not give it to me. He just froze for a few seconds and then finally handed me my cup.
After that was over as I was watching it seems as though they prioritize drive through orders and not the customers that are inside placing orders. Lets punish the ones that aren't too lazy to come inside, hmm. I saw them give out at least 5 drive through orders before they even finally took my order and that was only because I signaled someone to take my order or god knows how long it would have taken to place my order. It seemed like everyone was just ignoring me and trying to get the drive through orders done.
OH, one more thing! I see the guy that took my order lock the doors at 6 pm. The restaurant doesn't close until 9 pm so I thought this was odd. When I asked the guy why he was closing the doors so early before closing he lied and said, "I don't know." A few minutes later while waiting for my order a family walks inside because the guy unlocked the doors to let someone out and forgot to lock them again. An employee yells, "THE INSIDE IS CLOSED DRIVE THROUGH ONLY." So then I got mad that they yelled at this random family so I asked again, "Why are you closing the doors it says online you don't close until 9 pm?" Then what I believe was the Lady Manager says, "Because I am leaving and these 2 guys are here without me.' So they can't handle taking orders inside by themself? This place...
Read moreI have YET to get the correct order at the correct temperature at this place. If you try to order at the drive thru, you wait forever for anyone to acknowledge you, then it's "What do you want", NEVER "hello", "welcome to BK" or anything else to make you feel like your business is appreciated. Today, I ordered 2 bacon double cheeseburgers and a large orange hi C. First, I was asked what flavor I wanted. (Not listening to customer), then was charged over $3 for the drink. I cancelled the overpriced drink in favor of spending the same amount at a store next door for a gallon. For $3, I'll go to a sports arena for a beer. Taking my first bite of the sandwich, I quickly discovered they screwed up my order AGAIN. I returned to the store to straighten it out and was offered replacement food (the absolute LEAST they could do). No apologies. Lukewarm food. I tried to give them their mistake back but I was told they couldn't take it back. I told them to just throw it out, and they flatly refused. I wrapped the bag tightly and threw it on the passenger side floor and the little girl got a look of disgust on her face, walked away, and had someone else continue the transaction. To say this location is at the absolute bottom of my choices to eat at is an understatement as I no longer consider it a choice at all. The staff needs serious training in customer care, and management needs closer scrutiny and accountability. Until then, this location...
