Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen — Restaurant in West Virginia

RACIST general manager. Me and my family went here yesterday after a day of swimming. This was our first time here and left in a loss of words! While being seated a waitress came over bringing biscuits before we sat down which was great. My boyfriend ordered a gallon of lemonade no ice the pitcher which wasn't a gallon came back with ice I did remind her we said no ice she stated in a very hostile attitude "we aren't allowed to waste it " which I didn't understand what she was trying to say but I didn't say anything. Being that we never been here before we reviewed the menu before coming so we tried to order two family dinners which we seen online and was advised that it was taken out only which wasn't a problem we ordered and was waiting for a takeout while waiting we ordered an appetizer and I got a cheesecake to go When she brought the cheesecake it was and I did apologize stating I'm sorry I wanted that to go as well. Once our food came we left a a tip and spent about $100 there when we got in the car we noticed our biscuits were missing from the two family meals we ordered. We went back and I asked for a manager a manager came from the back. I advise we were missing or biscuits and she said well you got seven when you sat down which we didn't ask for those seven, but we didn't say anything we took the five biscuits and she had a very snooty attitude which I ignored at first when she came back with the five biscuits I said being in customer service you should've apologize for forgetting or biscuits first and she said I'm not apologizing to you. You were mean to our waitress, which was a shock to me and my boyfriend, we sat there with our kids very respectfully and waited more than an hour for our food to be done and I don't know how we were to the waitress. She was very rude. Her name is Ashley the general manager, and I will be reporting her to corporate as well. She told me to leave her establishment. I don't know if it was the fact that we were African-American, which maybe they don't see a lot which maybe the waitress just had an attitude she had to wait on us and again when the general manager came from the back, she already had an attitude, it was a racial hostile altercation with the general manager ASHLEY she needs to be fired her customer service hospitality. She does not have any of that. She needs to be retrained and maybe Moved down to dishwasher if she is not able to interact with customers with respect that it's given to her. I will never go here again. Never have been talked to in such a manner by someone who is supposed to be in Management in my life and I will be making sure that there is some resolution to...

I drive an hour to come to this place. Always have, because I enjoy the food and service. USUALLY, I have a good experience, but today I did not. I hate to say the, "I've been a server/bartender" line, but in this situation I want it to be understood that I know the behind the curtain issues a server/bartender can not control.

We sat down and ordered drinks, server was kind and got them for us. We ordered an app, which I watched her put in on the kiosk, so I knownit was ordered. She then took our food order. Food came out, app never did. I politely said, "hey, our app never came out. Can you just take that off the check?" No apology, no acknowledgement that this was a service error, nothing. In this moment we asked for crossaints. She agknowledged. She asked if I wanted another drink, I said yes. 15 minutes later, she said, "did you ask for another drink?" (By this time i was done eating and still waiting on our crossaints also 15-20minutes) I said, "i did, but i dont want it anymore"...no apology, nothing. We asked for boxes and i asked if she could make the crossaints to go, since we were done eating. She stated they are free, you just have to ask for them... (I did, 20 minutes ago). We explained we had a gift card and she took the code. She then laid a bill infront of me and showed where the app was taken off. I asked if there was an issue with the gift card, as it was still showing the same amount... she said "I didn't take it off yet" in a tone that seemed irritated. I'm curious as to how I should have known that when she sat THIS bill in front of me. So, we waited for the actual bill and paid.

So, in conclusion, I didn't get my app, I didn't get my drink, and I didn't get the crossaints we asked for until we departed.

To drive an hour to receive bad service is always disappointing, but to act like the customer is the issue for the failures of service is just wild. I never tip less than 25%, because I've been there, but I did today and was disappointed it even...

I stopped here on a road trip from PA to OH. It was excellent! The steak was very well seasoned and tasty without being too chewy.
