Kem's Restaurant — Restaurant in West Virginia

I unfortunately did not have a good experience with this restaurant. I went there with one other person and we sat at the bar. My friend ordered a drink and food, while I ordered food alone. The service was a bit slow as well as inattentive. The food itself was a bit overpriced but it was filling. I ordered just a burger and fries.

When the time came to pay, my friend left cash on the table (with enough covering both their food and tip), while I paid with my card, which took some extra time. The staff member ended up charging me for both mine and my friend's food. I called this to her attention and she apologized and would change the transaction. When she came back, she had then charged me for my friend's food and drink, which was much more than mine. I once again asked for her to change the billing, but she said that she had already rang my card up and could no longer change it. She ended up calling her manager to get it fixed, which took even longer. She apologized for the wait, then finally gave me my card back (which she still had with her) and asked if I wanted to go up to my room and wait. She said she would call my room number and ask me to read the numbers off my card. I understand that it was likely well intentioned, but I absolutely did not feel comfortable giving this information in such an unsecure manner. So I went upstairs, waited a few minutes, frustrated at this point, then came back down. The staff member said that she had fixed the mistake and I thanked her and left...only to check my card account to find that it still charged me for my friend's bill. I was luckily coming back through the area the next day so I got a refund from the front desk of the hotel.

Maybe I just caught this restaurant at a bad time and day. I really hate to leave a bad review, but I definitely will not be returning due to...

One of the most awful restaurant experiences of our lives. The server did not care. When I ordered the sirloin she just remarked, we don’t have it. She made no effort to be polite or helpful. When I asked for brown mustard for my hamburger she replied that she didn’t know what that was and didn’t bring anything at all. We waited for 45 minutes for our dinner. Was the server also the cook? We were about to leave when the food finally came out. No apology or excuse offered. She laughed when I suggested putting oil and vinegar on my side salad which was mostly iceberg lettuce. The buffalo wings were subpar and the hamburger was tasteless. Do not eat here. We came here because it had relatively high ratings. Can’t...

This restaurant is located in the hotel itself (Holiday Inn). The menu is limited but what's on it is done quite well. I've eaten there 3 times and each time was very good. It's not ready made food. You place your order and then they cook it from scratch, so you wait at your table for a bit. When it comes out though it's piping hot. The hotel does not have a cafeteria style breakfast included. You get a coupon from the front desk and it's good for a free breakfast that as I said they cook from scratch for you. No powdered eggs..... So yes I highly recommend you give...
