Although I'm not a huge fan of Mexican food, I stopped in with some friends prior to a 'guys night out'. The atmosphere here is kind of upscale compared to your average, run of the mill Mexican restaurant. Plenty of free parking available. The staff is courteous & friendly. You can tell they really want you to have a pleasurable dining experience.
They make their own tortillas here, fresh. The complementary tortilla chips are served with fresh, homemade salsa, and you can also order fresh-made queso. Both the salsa & queso were delicious, with an extra nod to the salsa. Somewhat thick & very flavorful, it beats most other place's runny, watery salsa by far.
I ordered the Beer Battered Shrimp Tacos, with a side of refried beans (instead of Black beans) & rice. The taco dinners come three per order, on flour tortillas. Literally, some of the best "authentic" tacos I've ever eaten. The refried beans were awesome & not completely smashed into bean paste. The Spanish Rice was very uniform. Not a clump in the bowl & cooked perfectly, albeit a little bland.
They do the birthday gimmick here with a lot of flair. The employees don Lucha Libre masks & capes, and sing Happy Birthday, Mexican-style. There is also an in-store Bodega where you can buy said masks & other traditional Mexican festival trinkets.
All in all, a great ethnic dining experience with above par Mexican food. Very clean established with great service from eager to please staff. If you like Mexican food, then you won't be...
Read moreTortilla Factory is a charming Mexican restaurant that offers a delightful dining experience. The food is absolutely wonderful, showcasing authentic flavors that are sure to please any palate. The service is equally impressive, with a friendly staff who make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in.
The atmosphere is cozy, perfect for a casual meal or a special occasion, and the fact that they serve alcohol adds to the overall enjoyment.
However, I did find the chips to be a bit of a letdown. They are thick and heavy, which might not be to everyone's taste.
Overall, Tortilla Factory is definitely worth a visit for the fantastic food and...
Read moreI've been to Tortilla Factory a few times and I've had nothing but good experiences. The food is standard Mexican restaurant fare, but they have a little more variety than other Mexican restaurants I've been to. I tried the napoles last time I went and while I wasn't a fan, it was fun to get to try something new that I had never seen at a restaurant before. My favorite part about Tortilla Factory is the gift shop; they offer a variety of treats and ingredients from Mexico as well as fun Mexican nicknacks and toys. They even have luchador masks! My biggest complaint about this restaurant is that they turn the music up too loud. I highly...
