Customer service is rudest I've ever experienced from any retail establishment in my life!! I had a jack hammer to replace, purchased from another location. They didn't have it in stock, so called this one to make sure they had it before we drove another 20 miles up the road. They even had the paperwork prepared for me to take for it to be quick because it was almost closing time. I called to tell them that GPS showed we would be 5 min after 8:00 (closing time) and the manager told me too bad he locks the door at 8:00 and it's not his problem. After running 95mph and pulling up seconds after 8:00 tey locked the door as we were getting out of the truck and once again told me too bad not his problem. That's an hour drive from home... wasted! Read moreI have visited a lot of Harbor Freight tools but the Barboursville WV location is the rudest to customers I've ever seen. I had to return an item and the woman I started taking to in the store was extremely unfriendly and got in my business like it was her own. Then the manager came out and while he was a little more friendly it was not by much. They especially didn't like the fact that I had purchased the original item from a different store other than theirs. Then I had used a 10% off coupon on the first item that expired that day and when I had to return the item and purchased a new one he refused to use the 10% off because it was now expired. Every time you walk through their doors you are judged and watched like you are about to steal something. It's an uneasy feeling. There are many good deals to be found. But most of them are a waste of money. Some things are overpriced. There is no value in something if it's not built to last. Some tools can't even do its job it's designed to do. It can really be a hit or miss. Returns feel like a nightmare. It's best to make purchases with cash in person. Makes the return process easier and quicker.
