My recent dining experience at Outback Steakhouse was truly exceptional. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm welcome and friendly service. The bartender, Christian, was absolutely fantastic - not only was he attentive and personable, but he also went out of his way to ensure we had a great dining experience. His recommendations were spot on, and his knowledge of the menu was impressive.

Our dinner was nothing short of wonderful. The food was delicious, cooked to perfection, and served promptly. The quality of the steaks and sides exceeded our expectations, and we left feeling completely satisfied.

My husband and I stopped by for lunch yesterday while we were doing some shopping in the Barboursville area. We were seated immediately, and within a minute, were greeted by our Server (Dayjah). She took our drink order and came back with a loaf of warm, delicious bread. We placed our lunch order and the food arrived very quickly. Dayjah was so pleasant, attentive, and helpful throughout our meal. We heard her interactions with the customers around us and she was equally engaging and accommodating. When a customer was unsure about a particular menu item because she hadn't eaten it before, Dayjah brought her a small sample to taste to be sure that it was something she wanted to order. She checked on us consistently, brought us drink refills, and kept our table cleared. Our food was delicious, cooked to perfection, and the portion size was more than ample for the price. My meal came with a piece of Cheesecake, which I planned to generously share with my husband. He wanted chocolate topping, but I really wanted the raspberry. We had problems with service at the old location, near Best Western, and swore we'd never go back, but the news said that they were "streamlining" service for their new location, near Hobby Lobby and Walmart, so we decided to give it another chance. That was a mistake.

Their new streamlined service is that the waitress or waiter takes your order, and other people bring out your food. So it wasn't the waitress's fault that we didn't get bread, or steak knifes, or the sweet potato that the waitress wasn't sure they would have. Refills cams slowly. Management and Corporate came by our table to ask how we were, and we had to tell them that service was terrible.

Then we had to wait forever for our check. Waiting for the check to pay and leave is no fun.

The corperate manager said he would speak to our waitress, but we knew it wasn't totally her fault. We told her about the experience, and she insinuated how frustrating to have to rely on others to help her deliver the food and refills.

We visit another certain steakhouse restaurant a lot, but sometimes we want to give another place a try. Outback failed us again. For the price you pay, you should expect extraordinary service. I'm...
