Issho Sushi and Steakhouse is truly incredible. Impeccable is apt for the attention of flavors, spices, sauces and preparation of every item. The presentation of food, as seen in the photos, shows the extraordinary level of respect they have for their food. The design, layout, furnishings and the ambiance are superb. They have thought of every detail and delivered on them meticulously. Our family enjoyed 4 different sushi roles, and three entrees.
The ginger salad is the best ginger salad we have ever had. The soups are delicious. The menu is 8 pages of selections from sushi rolls, to steak, scallops, shrimp, variety of noodles...and scrumptious appetizers. The Gyoza (pork or veg) are made with traditionally thin "wonton" wraps and served crispy, yet are so clean on the palate. Nothing was heavy or overly oiled. I had the filet, scallops and shrimp with rice and vegetables. Every item was cooked perfectly. The filet was the most tender, yet flavorful filet I have had in years.
Even the dishes are unique and show the care and honor for excellence in cuisine...wild I know, yet seriously our food was presented on 8 different types of dishes, many of which are one-of-a-kind. Even the green tea was served in a hand coiled pottery mug with white flowers hand painted on them. The boat with the sushi rolls was a fantastic touch of Japanese artistry.
The dessert selections are approximately 8, and the ones we tried were all excellent.
Our waiter, this young man was delightful, prompt, courteous and provided exceptional service. The only "miss" was he did not write down a thing when ordering, at every table, and unfortunately he forgot about our 1 order of green tea, and he left off one California roll when the boat of sushi rolls was presented. He apologized for forgetting and presented the green tea, yet we told him to forget about the California roll.
Our meal was $107 for four, and was worth every penny, and even more.
So excited to have this new local specialty restaurant. We've noticed at lunchtime and dinnertime their parking lot is full almost every day.
Reservations through Google worked perfectly as well.
Bonus: It is BYOB so bring your favorite wine, plum wine or even beer, perhaps Japanese beer to top off a perfect...
Read moreThis is an amazing restaurant with wonderful staff! Yes the sushi is SO good, as are the other menu items, but the staff is so friendly, efficient, and kind. I come to the restaurant often with my son who loves sushi, and they are always very kind to us.
I want to report on something that happened at the restaurant tonight and I was so impressed with the staff’s response. There was an extremely rude customer with his wife sitting next to me, saying awful things and downing a bottle of wine. They kept changing their order then expecting the staff to accommodate them and make their new order extremely fast. They were combative, loud and saying the rudest things to the staff. The staff acted very quickly, made the customer feel heard, and accommodated what the customer needed in a very selfless way. I was so impressed with their graciousness. I found out after the rude customer left that they come to the restaurant frequently so this poor staff has to deal with him on a regular basis. It felt gross hearing what he was saying about them.
So to the staff at Issho - you’re doing a great job! I’m sorry that you have to deal with rude, unruly customers. I hope most of your customers don’t...

Food variety is great and presented creatively. There’s a lot to choose from so we took a while to decide but when we did, we didn’t regret it. Had the Tom yum for soup. Didn’t even get to take a photo because we finished it as soon as we started. 😅 Shared a plate of 3 rolls and it was sufficient for 3 people. The bagel and sweet potato rolls were our favorite. I’d definitely recommend and order them again. The mochi was just the usual mochi, it wasn’t so special but it was plated well. I’ll try something else next time. Drinks had a variety of options but would prefer fresh juice options instead of bottled.
Service was fast and even if there was only one waitstaff, she was friendly, attentive, and accommodating.
The place also had ample parking right in the same property. The interiors were well-maintained. It can be improved by adding some exhausts to minimize strong fish smell, which is typical of Japanese restaurants.
Overall it was great but could be better and pricing was a bit high. Bill totaled to over $120 for 3 people considering that we didn’t even order...
