Owlbear's Rest — Restaurant in Westbrook

I was visiting Westbrook/Portland area for 4 days. I’d felt like I had already done all of the things I wanted to do while up here and didn’t want to drive downtown, so I googled a cafe near me in Westbrook and came across this space.

My only complaint is that I wish I would have discovered it sooner! I would have been here every day of my trip. The staff is super friendly, food is delicious and comforting and filling, and the latte I got was lovely. Such a great atmosphere, very safe and welcoming. I wish I had a space like this in the town I live in.

Really great new biz, I'm visiting from Boston where we have an embarrassment of riches with such places, and this brand new Portland establishment, were it in the more competitive landscape of Boston, would 100% CLEAN UP. Kind and knowledgeable staff, good munchies (tea, coffee, and even a meat & cheese plate), a solid assortment of games...just awesome. We came on a Friday late afternoon, parking was no sweat. Maybe a little over-air conditioned (bring long-sleeves even in summer, kind of a bummer but might not be their fault, might be the building...

A wonderful location with an absolutely charming interior! The games on offer are varied, delightful, and in great condition. The layout is well spaced so you can navigate through without having to ask anyone to move their chairs, making it easy to get up and grab more games and more food. 10/10 will be coming again in the near future!

Also their online game catalog is amazing! I've found so many new games to try though it, highly recommended for all boardgaming and ttrpg...
