Krispy's Fish and Chicken — Restaurant in Westland

Friday, August 17, 2018 my family and I went to Krispy's & I will no longer be supporting this business. My mother & niece went to sit on one of their benches and it feel apart leading to my handicapped mother & 3yr old niece falling to one side and hurting themselves. My niece hit the side of her eye which caused it to swell & bruise. My mother hurt her side and hand. I go into the restaurant to inform them and to get some ice & the guy with the ponytail was so rude. He told me he's busy and don't have time to come outside for nonsense. He wouldn't give me a bag of ice for my niece. I asked for a refund for the order we placed and he got mad, yelling & telling me "don't ever come here again. What am I suppose to do with this food?" And in return I gave him a few choice words. But I've never been at a establishment that wouldn't even come out to see about the customers that was hurt on their property. I did contact 911 and they showed up to check my mother and niece out. He still never came out even then. I'M PISSED and while never eat there again & have inform all my family and friends to do the same. They don't care about their customers safety...

Overall, it was pretty good and I really appreciated that is was all cooked fresh so it was piping hot when it was time for me to pick it up. I liked that they cut the corner of the Styrofoam container so it can vent and the food stays crispy! Everyone was kind and courteous. My favorite was the whole fried chicken wings (great flavor) followed by the fried fish. The fried jumbo shrimp were good but it's fried like the chicken and fish and I think it would be better if they were battered and not flour/corn meal. The catfish was ok but fried too hard and hopefully it was a mistake-but the skin was still on it-so that was not pleasant. I was disappointed in the mac n cheese because it didn’t have any flavor and it's just noodles and alot of liquid squeeze like cheese. No seasoning at all. I really wanted it to be delish and with real cheese... And last but not least: 7up pound cake. Had my hopes up for this but it was a little dry/overcooked and not seven-upy enough. Just sweet. Either way- I will be back for the whole chicken wings! Those were the best and very tasty. I'll be trying other things...

I would NEVER eat here again. It was my first time. When I called the guy that answer asked was it my first time, I told him “yes, I live nearby and for a long time I’ve been wanting to give it a try”, he replied and stated “well, you would always love the food and the service”, however, that was far from the truth. I asked for the food to be well done, it wasn’t even done and when my son went to pick up the order he said “ma, why you pick that place? No one greeted me and they acted as if they didn’t know what In was saying” which is crazy because all he was saying was he was picking up an order. So for my first experience to spend $40, have nasty uncooked food, and for my son to experience bad experience on the 1st experience is crazy. So NO, I would not be coming back.. FYI I told my cousin about my experience and she said when she experienced it tried the food it was nasty with no flavor and she order chicken strips.. smh…

DON’T waste you money$$$.. drive the miles and go to a Uncle Joes,, the westside Greenfield...
