A beautiful park that I hate to say is becoming less beautiful over time. The amount of graffiti has increased significantly throughout the preserve with a lot of it painted directly onto trees. The wooden posts put in along the trail have become a magnet to anyone with a pen or marker. The woods have thinned out a lot in the front half, you need to get pretty deep in to not be able to see apartment buildings through the trees. There's a big campsite tucked away toward the back with a fire pit and tables and chairs which seems more than a little inappropriate in a nature preserve. Perfect otherwise, though. A gorgeous and important slice of nature tucked away in the heart of the city that hopefully thrives for generations to come. There's a surprising variety of sights to be seen within.
Also I wish selfish people would quit bringing unleashed dogs out on the trail as if the rules don't...
