The menu looks good. The building looks good. The décor inside is really cool and reflects Michigan 100%. The parking lot is kept clear in all sorts of weather.
The food is passable. I recently tried their ‘Greek Quesadilla’. Whoops! It looked nice – and I say this with reservation. It arrived on an oval plate. It was half of one. The remaining section of the plate was filled in with chopped white onions, shredded lettuce and chopped tomatoes. I don’t know where the chef was heading but it certainly wasn’t towards a taste treat. Because it was loaded with feta cheese that had been chilled the food was alternately hot and cold. It’s great it was fresh but I couldn’t tell which part was freshest – the cooked part or the chilled part. I also ordered a tall glass of chocolate milk. It was kind of chocolatey. We’ll leave it at that.
One time I went to this restaurant and had good service. This last time was not that one. It started out with us getting seated. We were then visited by the captain who quietly delivered a missing set of tableware. Very mysterious. Then the waitress appeared. She was loud and brash, which is fine on occasion, as long as they know the menu and treat customers right. I couldn’t tell if this one was taking our order, representing the restaurant or out for herself and the restaurant and my party just happened to be in the way.
When the was food was delivered I was wiping my tired eyes. When I opened them the waitress’ finger was a ½ inch from my right eye. As it was the nail popped me in my cheek. She said, ‘Oh, I’m so sorry.’ The waitress with her asked, ‘Did you hit one of the diners with a plate again?’
The waitress replied, ‘No, just my finger.’
She then handed out of the food. The plate of one my fellow diners happened to be perched not next to or near my plate but on top of my food.
Yuck!
She finished off this fancy feast by making us wait for the dessert included with the meal by absenting herself. When she showed up she took an order from another table before visiting us.
The check out clerk was very nice and gave us no difficulty whatsoever in...
Read moreIt’s unfortunate that the waitstaff, well one in particular, Katie greeted our party with a thumbs down when we asked if we could sit in a booth away from other customers, we didn’t want to disturb anyone. The restaurant was not busy and we wanted to have dinner and have a work meeting with my managers. She expressed that certain sections were closed and we said ok. We sat down and we watched her give our table a thumbs down to another server. At this point we felt it was best for us to take our business elsewhere. It’s not professional to give a thumbs down to customers for any reason. What I didn’t know is she was related to an employee we had terminated and apparently didn’t want to wait on our group. She has now spun what she did into a delusional story of events that never took place. I let her managers know just as I would want to know if any of my employees behaved that way towards customers. She has now taken to social media to attention and blatantly lie about what occurred that day. For that reason I have never stepped foot back in that restaurant. It was very disappointing that management would allow an employee to treat a customer this way. In addition this Katie person has been slandering me all over social media. It’s apparent that the operation of her mind is not in touch with reality. How anyone could continue to employ such a horrible unprofessional person who’s driving your customers...
Read more4 years ago, I had a horrible experience here, and hadn’t been back until today 02/05/2023. They’ve done a 180° turn-around, and I’ve changed my one star to a five star rating to reflect the changes. They’ve completely turned this location around. Kudos to the owners and management.
Price range: $10 - $17 for dinner entrees.
Staff: Our waitress was nice. The host was kind, and so was the cashier. Everyone was professional and accommodating.
Food: We had the Reuben and the Philly wrap with fries, pretzel sticks w/cheese, house salad. Everything was great, honestly. Orders were correct.
Wait times: Seating, immediate. Food from order to table, 10-15 minutes for the entrees only because there was an appetizer and house salad ordered.
Menu: It’s a slimmed down version of the old one which is probably why the food is better and more expedient. It’s one page, front and back with the best dishes from the old categories. It has something for everyone on it, to include non-meat eaters.
Cleanliness: Seating, utensils, menus, dishes, floor, windows, bathrooms were all clean.
Accessibility: There’s plenty of space to accommodate those who use assistive mobility devices. I’m a size 22/24, and the booth accommodated my size. There are tables, if you cannot or prefer to not sit in a booth.
Atmosphere: Typical diner din. The tvs weren’t too loud, and we were just...
