We recently planned an event for 37 guests, it was planned a month and half in advance. When we got to the restaurant, there weren't enough seats for the guest. We had 37 guests they only had seating for 33. When my guests sat at another table because they didn't have anywhere to sit they were asked to get up, only to then be told to sit there again, when they realized they didn't have enough seating. We had an anti-pasta table, the anti-pasta appetizer wasn't enough for our group and it never got refilled. I don’t think it was presented appropriately. Having guests going into jars to get the appetizer seems a little tacky to me. Also we had people from another table that weren't part of out party helping themselves to our anti -pasta table because of where the table was placed. Some of my guests didn't get their salads until they asked for them, when everyone else was done with theirs. Drinks were never refilled and they never offered wine or beer, which i had agreed to pay for. We had crab cakes and steak, the steaks were raw, i mean raw, when some of my guests asked to have their steaks cooked some more they were told NO! Because they refused to cook the steaks some more the food was all trashed and my guests didn't eat. The icing on the cake was when they were 1 plate short and one of the guests said they didn't get food, they were told all the food was out and there was no more food. Then the waitress proceeded to count heads in front of all my guests and no we didn't have anybody extra. There were two waitresses and one of them had a really nasty attitude, she was rude to my guest at every table. everybody complained about her. She got nasty with one of my sisters and my sister finally let the waitresses have it and told them what a disaster the event was from the beginning until the very end. My guests asked for steak knives they were told the restaurant was out of steak knives. When the cake came out they never offered coffee to any of my guests. We were told they were under staffed, they knew they had a party of 37 they should of been prepared. Towards the end of this event, I took a few moments in the bathroom to gather my thoughts and to compose myself. I have never been so embarrassed in my life. This isn't the first time I have put an event like this together. It was very unfortunate that the service fee was included because I wouldn't have given them 20%. I can assure you that I won’t ever step foot in this establishment. After contacting the owner about my concerns, they did nothing to try to make up for ruining my event that was suppose to be very special. WHAT A HUGE DISASTER AND...
Read moreI used to go to their Sunday brunch with my wife and daughter 3 out of 4 Sundays. The waitress Leslie was always awesome, but sometimes was unavailable because they tended to assign her to large parties. So, of course, when I strongly requested Leslie as my waitress for a large party of family members I was treating to brunch as a late Christmas gift, they gave me some guy I'd never seen before and we waited forever for everything from drinks to coffee and water refills. It's a buffet...what more did he have to do but bring beverages!?! On top of that, as a regular, I never noticed the small print on the brunch beverage list that mentioned an automatic 20% gratuity being added onto the check for large parties and tipped this disinterested server over $50 more on top of what they had tacked on. He never returned to explain that the gratuity was already included, nor did he return to thank me for almost $100 in total tips on a $231 check! To put the icing on the cake, as our party was leaving, my wife and I saw Leslie, standing around, not busy at all. When we told her that we specifically requested her, she was flabbergasted. She hadn't been busy all day, hadn't had any large parties and there was absolutely NO reason she could see why we shouldn't have been able to receive GOOD service in her section. The following week, I tried to speak to the manager about it and was told by her son that she had left early to see his sister in the hospital and assured me that she would get back to me. This was in February of 2014 and I'm still waiting! So, rather than treat my wife, daughter and I to a complimentary brunch (which would've been about what I unknowingly overtipped) and continuing to have us as loyal customers forever, they ignored the issue and have lost that amount (plus generous tips for their servers) 75 times over by my estimation. I used to rave about this place but NO MORE! I even overlooked their refusal to put out more smoked salmon when it would run out well before the last seating for brunch many times. Then they came up with a clever idea...for three straight weeks they offered only cinnamon raisin bagels! Once i asked for french toast that wasn't rock hard that my daughter could actually chew (it hadn't been restocked and the 3 slices left were really old. The male owner looked perturbed and grumbled, "Well, y'know...it IS a buffet!" Apparently one that saves money by not bringing more food out, I guess. Pretty slick owners. Except for the little bit of money they saved cost them my...
Read moreI and two friends visited Johansson's for dinner Saturday, February 25th after making 6:30pm reservations. The host promptly seated at a 4-person high-top just before the entrance to the rear dining room. I placed my personal items down with at the table with my friends while I excused myself to the restroom. Within just a few steps, between two larger high-top table filled with guest, I slip and fall hard on left hip, almost sliding under the table closest to the wall. Not a single soul helped, no one asked if I was ok. While getting up, I noticed a large puddle of water was to blame. I had to yell to the bartender as other servers scurried away so quickly, I couldn't get words out fast enough. It took me having to ask for a manager after about 15 minutes of waiting for someone to even approach our table. It then took an absurd amount to time for the manager to even make it over. Sara, who stated she was the manager came over to say she would grab something to take my information down, that she was sorry, and that she has told the servers on multiple occasions to use trays when serving drinks as she believed this was the cause of the water on the floor. I was in total disbelief... so management knew there is a problem that could result in a hazardous situation, they have made recommendations to staff on how to remedy the problem, yet there is no enforcement? Leaving completely open opportunities for situations such as mine to happen! Sara took my name and phone number on a random note pad, after taking another half hour to return to our table to even retrieve the information, and said she'd give me a call to follow up on how I was doing. Well here we are, Tuesday at 5:00pm and absolutely no follow up, ZERO CONCERN. I'd like to inform Johanssons that due to the carelessness of your management and oversight of hazardous situations, I had to go to Patient First as a had the most irritating shoulder pain from catching myself during the fall.
I am disgusted at how completely unbothered your staff is that a patron fell at your establishment. I am disappointed in the measures taken to record such an incident. I am not even confident that this case was even recorded for proper follow up.
Do better Johanssons! Before someone gets...
