Usually have a good experience here, their drinks and food are very good! Their holiday decorations for Halloween and Christmas are so cute and they have some fun seasonal menu items and drinks! However, last night made me want to NEVER come here again. My friend had made a reservation for a big group of us in November to have dinner here last night. She got a confirmation text and everything back that they had her information and her reservation was confirmed. We arrived last night to check in and they told us the reservation wasn’t in their system. The host asked if she had the confirmation text and she showed it to them. He then made up some excuse about how they don’t take reservations using the phone number anymore and so that’s why our party reservation didn’t transfer over. We told him that didn’t make any sense because on the menu it still says “for reservations text this number” The host then told us that he would do what he could to get us a table. He said we could find a space at the bar to wait. Multiple people in the party checked in with him periodically to see what the status was. He told us each time he was working on it and it wouldn’t be much longer, maybe 15 minutes. After about an hour, he came up to us and said that we wouldn’t be able to get a table until 10pm. Our original reservation was for 7pm. We told him we would not be waiting until then and asked what was the point of making a reservation if they weren’t going to honor it. He gave us the excuse again about the reservations being changed from one system to another and how some of them went missing. However, no one else with a reservation seemed to be having an issue. He then told us once we said we would be leaving that our round of drinks we ordered at the bar would be covered and they would also give us a gift card. Most of our party left after that, but a couple stuck around to finish the drinks they still had. When those people went to leave, the bartender told them they had to pay the tab that the host said would be covered. They told him the host had said it would be covered but the host didn’t back them up and made them pay. All in all, this disorganization ruined the entire night and the people working there did not seem to care at all. All 12 of the people we were with will not be returning to this restaurant (and many of us go there quite often!) it is not worth the chaos, disrespect, and inconvenience. Take yourselves elsewhere, especially if bringing in a large...
Read moreThis was one of our favorite places for lunch until today. I walked in and stood in the front for 5 minutes waiting to be seated. My friend was late but when she walked in, we waited another 3 minutes and decided to reach for the menus and seat ourselves. The restaurant had like 3-4 other groups of 2-3 people who were seated and being served. The waiter saw us sit down and brought us chips and salsa, I said thank you and asked if they could bring the spicy salsa which I always get. He didn't acknowledge my question and walked off. He came again with a bottle of water and I tried asking again, but before I could finish my question, he walked away. The waitress who came and took our order, was so unfriendly except when she took away our dishes and brought us the bill. When we gave her our order, we told her we wanted the burrito in a bowl with chicken and fresh jalapeños. I ordered a spicy jalapeño margarita. My friend and I order this every time we come for the past year. I especially look forward to it as I live overseas. The waitress got our complete order wrong and was blaming the bartender and the cook for messing it up when we told her. The spicy maragarita was a regular margarita, she just took the drink back and put a jalapeño in it and gave it back to me. I've had this many times and it did not taste the same. The burrito in a bowl was not at all what we asked for and the waitress claimed we ordered the burrito bowl which is completely different. Since this was the 2nd thing that was messed up, we did not want to argue with her and asked her to bring spicy salsa, fresh jalapeños, and pico de gallo. She brought us jalapeños from a jar and said there was no other salsa or pico de gallo that comes with the burrito bowl. We asked if she could get us fresh jalapeños, and she goes "are you guys okay with the ones we use at the bar, because that's all we have?" We were like, YES! How are they different depending on if they are at the bar or from the kitchen!? By now, both of us just wanted to get up and leave but we didn't have time to find another place. We did not feel welcome there at all this time and the waitress clearly had favorite customers she liked flirting with. We loved TQLA so much but after today, neither of us will be...
Read moreFirst time here and was disappointed as I’ve heard great things about this place. Came to get some drinks as my cousins came from out of town and the moment we were seated, it was about 10 minutes before we were asked if we would like drinks and food. We order a bucket to start and a drink. Chips were brought to the table. The bucket and drink took another 10 minutes to come out. The drink, La Bebcita, was delicious and the music was great. The night continued and my cousins ordered a another bucket. The server asked if we wanted more chips which we said yes, but they never came back with chips. At this time, it was four of them drinking beer and the place was mostly full. Right before 1am, we placed an order for a bucket which took some time again to receive, but since the place closed at 2 am we were good on time. We asked for salt and got pepper. The server was kind to bring us the salt as it was an honest mistake. The moment the bucket was brought to the table, the security came about 7 minutes later to let us know we needed to leave in the next 5 minutes. We were not made aware that the bar closed early due to events that has occurred. At this time, it was about 1:35 am and a group of people had someone throwing up and another person trying to fight. I did let the server know that it was crappy that we paid for a bucket, they expect our group to drink the beers or leave them since we cannot take them all because they didn’t let us know that there was a lot going on that night. You should warn your customers about last call and if a location is closing sooner. I didn’t find it fair that because others didn’t know how to act, we had to hurry up with our drinks and get out early with a 5 minute warning. The restaurant should hire more security to deal with situations as well as make sure to announce changes if they are closing earlier than 2 am. Overall, the server was nice and we enjoyed what we could of the night. I don’t think it would be worth coming here at night time if this seems to be an issue. Will definitely come for brunch and hope that the experience...
