I was treated very poorly by Maria at this store on the evening of 4/21/22. She entered my order incorrectly and when I pointed it out to her, got mad at me and blamed me even though I had not instructed her to put the items on the order which she did. There is video surveillance at the store to support this statement as well as video which I took of the encounter. This employee has extremely poor customer service and blamed me for the mistake she made and then argued with me in front of my kids and the whole store about why it was my fault that she made a mistake. Again there is video recording showing where the error occurred. Instead of acknowledging her error and correcting the order, she told me she would not serve us because she was mad that I was holding her accountable for the mistake that she made and was trying to blame me for instead of correcting it. Horrible customer service. If anyone at corporate would like to follow up with me regarding this, I encourage you ti also view the footage from the store if this incident. This manager has ZERO accountability and created an argument with client I. Front of their kids in the whole store because she could not admit she had made a mistake and wanted to blame everyone else. This Potbelly’s location DID NOT fulfill the promise that is posted at the beginning of ordering queue. Very disappointed for both the store and this individual. Read moreAs a former Potbelly employee, I am infuriated and deeply disappointed at the employees AND manager at this Westmont Potbelly location. I have been to this Westmont Potbelly location TWICE in 2 days... The first time I went was yesterday 8/4/2020 and I ordered a simple Chicken Salad sandwich through the Drive-Thru with a Coke to drink. I drove back to work to find out they FORGOT to add the CHICKEN SALAD to my sandwich and instead gave me a sandwich of just condiments. I called the store and the manager apologized and refunded me my money. I went again this afternoon 8/5/2020, this time I went INSIDE to order hoping yesterday was a fluke. There were NO customers inside, I was the only one there. I ordered the SAME EXACT sandwich and drink. I repeated my order TWICE. The woman working there repeated it back to me, she wrote my order on the bag and started to work on the sandwich. I walked to the register, paid and left. Knowing people make mistakes, I didn't think I would have to stand in front of the employees and check my meal, but I should have because once AGAIN after getting to work to I checked my sandwich and they FORGOT TO ADD THE CHICKEN SALAD...AGAIN!!!!!!! I have been trying to call for the past 45 min (over 20 phone calls using 2 different phones) and all I keep getting is, "I'm sorry no one is available to take your call. I used to come to Potbelly regularly, but stopped coming because they just do a terrible job on the basics. I had a taste for it today, and decided to see if they’ve improved . . . they have not. Look at the sandwich below. I don’t think you can call something a turkey sandwich if there’s only one TINY slice of Turkey.
Eating out costs a lot in 2023 — and I will not be spending any more money here.

Also -- please tell your employees to stop putting ICE COLD BOTTLES OF WATER in the same bag with HOT SANDWICHES. Seriously, do you guys even think about the customer's experience . . . getting home with what you think is going to be hot food, but instead you have a lukewarm bottle of water and cold sandwich with one piece of meat?
