I am beyond disappointed in this place. I often go there almost every weekend. The workers are very kind and their service is great. I can’t say the same about Joe though, the owner. He approached me directly, saying my name about bringing in another drink. He said that it was fine with it just next time, don’t do that. So i sat down with my friends doing our work, and he came up to us again about our drinks. He said that once we are done with our bowls, we need to throw out our drinks. Then he said that we should just leave. It is sad to see an owner more invested with his business rather than his actual customers. Especially someone who goes here often, this is absolutely ridiculous. He needs to figure out what he needs to do with this place whether it being a Café or a Restuarant. There is no problem with me going to starbucks and giving them business instead. I brought this place my money, more customers, and service and was received with personal attack from Joe. I will bring my friends somewhere else with a more comfortable environment. I will never come back here again and I will get a better açaí bowl at Playabowls. I will also inform friends and family to not come here and will only give bad reviews for this place. Do better. You will not see me here, you will see me at...
Read moreGg and Joe as a whole, is a nice environment and most of the workers there are friendly, however, the owner is very rude to returning loyal customers. This is the second encounter I’ve had with Joe where he has approached me in a very hostile manner. Both of the times he’s approached me he has questioned whether or not I have made a purchase “are you going to buy something because if not there is a Starbucks or library”. I also run a business, as a business owner to another business owner this is not the way you treat or approach customers - returning customers at that. He ruined the experience of being there by monitoring the amount of time you’re there for and how much money you spend. I think the owner struggles between the difference of a coffee shop and a restaurant. He’s waiting for customers who want to buy a whole meal and have restaurant service and kicking out customers who want to grab a coffee and a treat to get some work done on their laptops. I will not be returning to GG and Joe and I recommend anyone who is looking for a place to sit, snack, and get work done without being harassed go somewhere else. Best of...
Read moreDON’T GO THERE!! OWNER IS EXTREMELY RUDE TO CUSTOMERS!! I had just arrived with my daughter who had gotten a gelato up the street. While looking at the menu on my phone he approached us and asked if we had purchased a beverage or something to eat from his shop. Of course, I said no not yet, but I can. He asked us to leave in a not so very kind way. He never gave us a chance to look at the menu and order before immediately approaching us or the opportunity to finish looking at the menu to decide. It was early Friday evening and there was only one other table occupied outside, so it was not like we were taking a table away from a customer who knows his menu and can order immediately. There was no one standing around waiting for a table. There really was no reason for his rude behavior. Kindness will grow a business, rudeness will close it. Just save yourself from embarrassment and being treated like you are not worthy enough to enjoy something from there. There are many other shops who would really appreciate your business, will allow you a few minutes to look at the menu, and treat you...
