I ordered a small BBQ chicken salad for $11.58. I selected to pay with cash because I had a 20 dollar bill. When the lady arrived with my food I presented her with the 20 dollar bill and she said she had no change. Which is beyond me since every food service I have ever done business with knows to bring some change for a cash deal. That's just common sense.
Her excuse for not having change was "This is my last delivery tonight and I'm going home from here so I didn't grab change"
So to resolve this the lady goes to her car and grabs 5 dollars and says that's all she has. Does not offer to go get change. So now I am left with having to give her my 20 in exchange for her 5. Which leaves me paying 15 dollars for an 11.58 small salad. That 11.58 is also with the tip included by the way. So after over paying due to lack of professionalism I bring my meal inside and there is not fork with the salad. Also another item that is provided 99 percent of the time. When I filed a complaint through grubhub they said they would give me a 3 dollar coupon because they "cant" send someone back out to resolve the issue. Sounds to me like laziness and no regard for the customer. I am 100 percent dissatisfied with this transaction.
On a side note. This is the second issue I have had with this business. I ordered a wrap not too long ago that was delivered to me SOAKING wet. So soggy and wet that I have to eat it with a fork and knife.
I don't normally do this review thing but after this I think its earned its place. Don't order from here. Take your money elsewhere and get...
Read moreI like Sofia's. The food is delicious and the prices are good. The staff is friendly and attentive. But I have to give it a low score here for one reason and this is the reason I've stopped going here. I understand this isn't fine dining, and the wines are inexpensive, but when I ask for a glass of wine, I want a glass of wine. I don't expect them to fill the glass to the rim, but what I get is about two fingers of wine. The glasses are small, not goblets, and I'm lucky sometimes if the glass is a third of the way filled. It's really cheap to me to serve such small pours of wine. It's almost akin to what's served at a wine tasting. I like to drink wine with my dinner, and I don't like having to order two glasses just to get a normal glass of wine. I would rather they raised their prices on the wine and serve regular portions, then go cheap and pour a mere sample. If they want to be sure the pours are consistent, then spend the buck and purchase sidecar carafes that measure out single portions of wine. Most restaurants who use this system fill the carafe up to where the glass bends at the neck. That's a standard portion. They don't have a problem with their meal portions, so it baffles me why they are so cheap with their wine portions. Sorry, Sofia's. I like you, but you've lost me...
Read moreI cannot comment of the food because unfortunately we weren't able to put in our order. Last night my roommate called to place a rather large to go order for a get together we were having. We had just received the menu and the mail and were looking forward to trying somewhere new. We were planning on ordering 4 pizzas, the 30 pc wings, a few other appetizers and some salads. The first pizza my roommate ordered was a large cheese pizza with a quarter sausage. It was then that the woman on the phone rudely inform my roommate that they don't do quarters. What?? How does a PIZZA RESTURAUNT not offer a quarter toppings on a pizza??? The more upsetting part of this was the rude tone that the woman had with roommate, like what my roommate was asking for was the most outlandish request she has ever heard in her life. There is nothing on the menu saying that quarter toppings are not offered and no one would ever assume such a thing because its ridiculous. Is it because the pizza is already pre-made or does the person putting on the topping not know simple fractions?
Its unfortunate that they lost a pretty decent sized order because of such an silly rule. And maybe they should teach they people that answer the phones to watch their tone and how to properly speak...
