Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Wheaton

Had a HORRIBLE experience tonight 3/19. First of all, we only get to go out to eat once a night so we try and make it a good experience. The way that the staff conducted themselves made it a TERRIBLE experience. We waited 45 minutes, which was kind of expected given the circumstances. However, we both CLEARLY communicated what we wanted to order. We did let our waiter know that we were on a time crunch. The waiter brought us out our entrees but did not bring out our appetizer chips which we ordered. We reminded him FOUR TIMES to bring out the chips. He NEVER did. I asked 3 times for some AI Steak Sauce. Never brought it out. Finally did after the fourth time. Our kiosk had the WRONG table so we had to wait a while to pay. Even though I did not ask for a manager, he came to my table because he saw that I was not happy at all with this God awful service. To his credit, he did take some $$ off of my bill. However, as mentioned before, we only get to go out once a week and we want to make sure that we enjoy the experience. I would have rather paid the full bill and had our entire same enjoyable meal instead of a very unenjoyable meal and experience. Not to mention, we were late to our next event because they gave us the wrong kiosk bill. To not have something as simple as an appetizer delivered at all even after asking FOUR Times is unacceptable service. They NEVER did give us our chips appetizer even after promising to bag one up to go. If you wait 45 minutes you expect it to be worth the wait with good service. We were disgusted and appalled by the service. I did not want to make a scene in the restaurant, but I did make sure to document this on the kiosk as I signed out as well as write a google review. We live nearby and no matter how many times we have come to this location we have always left upset. I think it’s time for us to officially put chilis on the skip list instead of having it as a easy weekly spot for us to eat at. Tonight was no different. It was not crowded like always and we asked for a booth and the host declined saying that he did not have any available despite me counting six open booths on the active side of the restaurant. I Hidden watched him seat the next three groups in those open booths that he declined to put us in. Our server was friendly when she greeted us and that is about the only positive I can give.

We ordered fried mozzarella as an appetizer a pasta dish and a salad. After waiting maybe five minutes the main dishes were brought out no side of our appetizer. When we asked where the appetizer was the food delivery person was confused and said you didn’t order one. About five minutes after we got the food our appetizer was then delivered. The food itself was very bland and after I ate the top layer of the pasta it became apparent that there was no other seasoning on the dish. The salad which was advertised as spicy was anything but spicy.

Towards the end of our meal I asked for the manager and they never showed up. we waited for about 15 minutes after we paid and since they decided to not show we left. All I wanted to tell him was how we always come here and it’s never good so he could hopefully make changes and we could come back in the future.

After spending $60 there we left hungry and upset and had a better meal from the McDonald’s next-door. I think it’s time for corporate to either officially shut this place down or step in and make it work like any...

I can't remember the last time I had Chili's, though it used to be one of my favorites growing up. I had a couple bad experiences, so I just stopped going. I guess I decided to give it another chance.

I stopped in for dinner with my husband last night. The restaurant didn't appear busy but it took about 15 minutes for a table. I assumed maybe they were short-staffed, which is understandable.

Our server was very friendly and attentive, but he did get my husband's order wrong. He apologized for the misunderstanding and put in the correct order.

My husband ordered the Honey Chipotle chicken crispers on waffles, I can't remember the exact nameof the dish. They were pretty good, though the waffles were quite sweet. I ate one of his while I waited for my food to come out.

My food was terrible. I ordered the original chicken crispers, which used to be my go-to, but the ones I had yesterday were awful. The breading was completely grease soaked and my first bite of chicken was gristle. The fries tasted like they had been sitting for quite some time. I am not somebody who likes to send food back but this was unacceptable. I brought it to the server's attention and he sent the manager over.

The manager was also very friendly and apologetic, he offered to have them made fresh but I was put off by the grease and gristle, so I requested a different item, which he was happy to accommodate.

He was very kind and took the chicken crispers and the replacement meal item off our bill, which I appreciated.

Please note, if I was rating on friendliness and service alone, I would give 5 stars, however, I based my rating on the food quality. To me, it definitely isn't what...
