Good thing there is a Starbucks every couple of miles, or else this would be my only option. This is the closest to and most direct from my house, in other words the most convenient. I HATE going to this one - the staff here is rude and rude. This is supposed to be the fast-food of coffee, but, you can stand at the register for awhile waiting for some to acknowledge you are standing there - there are so many “baristas” standing behind the counter, with the backs turned toward you, chatting amongst themselves, or chatting with their “regulars”…and you’ll wait. And wait. Until they notice you and reluctantly, usually with a huge sigh and gargantuan attitude turn around and take your order (heaven forbid!). There are a couple of “baristas” (older, female, have been there for quite some time) who are particularly awful. I don’t know their names as I’m not inside long enough to read their names on the aprons (if they even have them on their aprons). Oh, and your mobile order? Yeah, no order, and just left out on the counter helter skelter, where EVERYONE can touch them (can you say COVID?). If I could avoid this Starbucks altogether, I would. I think I’ll just have to drive the extra mile and go to a different...
Read moreI don't know how it took me so long to write a review about this place, but here we go.
I have been coming here a good year or so since moving to Illinois from out of state. I'm very much a regular here, as in I come here about 3 times a week. Sometimes I'm here for a quick pickup, or sometimes I stay here for hours on end.
It's got to the point where some of the employees greet me by name, and already know what I'm going to order. Every experience I've had here has been consistent, and my drink (and scones) have always came out good! The employees are quite friendly, and will go out of their way to help you, so long as you are polite and respectful.
I know sometimes people make things wrong, or they honestly forget part of your order. However, that gives you no right to be rude and disrespectful to them for that. The world has not ran out of coffee. If you were in that bad of a mood or pressed for time, then you need to make yourself known for leaving the building.
You are no one special, and these guys don't get paid for your entitlement. As I always say, move along peasant!
Keep doing you, and ignore those asshats! They're just trying to project their miserable...
Read moreI am completely appalled that this place has insinuated that me or my son has harassed anyone there. I am trying to get into contact with someone there who is rational. This place is a toxic work environment and when I approached the manager Sai with legal questions, I was thrown out of the store and told she is her own supervisor. There was no one above her. We are going through something very emotional in our family at this time and these people know about it. This manager narcissisticly has seemed to enjoy using our families pain to bully and that is terrible. I heard from people that this place was difficult but I thought within reason. There needs to be less emphasis on Starbucks position in the culture war and more how to ethically treat your staff. I’m am completely shocked and appalled at the asinine behavior on managements part and luckily for them we have much bigger problems to tend to. I sincerely hope these managers learn that treating people badly for insecurities in their own lives will only continue to bring more misery their way and that they learn how to be better people and...
