We gave this place two chances. Once during their opening week of business, and now many months later. My honest review: The first time, I ordered the spicy steak teriyaki bowl. My Mrs. brought it home. Spicy chicken teriyaki bowl was in the bag. Not the beef that I ordered. Strike one. Extremely spicy and flavorful. Tough and chewy but tasty and passable. Mistake forgiven. Tonight I ordered a regular steak teriyaki bowl, with a side order of egg rolls, plus a $1 cup of mad sauce. This time I got what I ordered. Kinda. Let's start with the steak. This is absolutely not steak. It seems to be beef. It's more like thickly sliced gristle. It has flavor, but it is shoe leather tough and mostly unchewable. My finger in this photo is pointing at a glob of disgustingness that I gagged out moments later. EVERY PIECE is like this one. The fried rice is okay. Perfectly cooked and flavorful. But be advised there is no sign of egg anywhere in this bowl. It's not here. This is not proper fried rice. The egg rolls ain't bad, in the context of truck stop egg rolls. The little cup of sauce is a nice touch. But these really are just smaller versions of what you can get at your corner gas station. They are crispy and tasty, with tasty meaning shredded cabbage overwhelmingly infused with onion powder blowing out your tastebuds. Be aware that the two or three grams of "Mad Sauce" that cost $1 plus tax is straight up Tabasco. So if you have a bottle of Tabasco handy, don't waste $1.10, and don't expect some Asian wonder sauce. One more thing, this bag of teriyaki bowls, appetizers, egg rolls, etc., for two people contains not a single bean sprout. Lots of cabbage. No bean sprouts. Do not expect a reasonable approximation of authentic Japanese cuisine.

This was our second visit. His teriyaki bowl with white rice and veggies was good. I got the 8oz Teriyaki Chicken side and the side of veggies. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The veggies were nicely steamed and flavorful as well. The Teriyaki sauce is jaw cringing sweet in my opinion. Service was great and the place was clean. Big problem is, their app rewards program is not working. Couldn't scan in the store and could not scan the receipt to earn any points. It is nice to have another option that isn't a burger place!

A new addition to the White House community, and it's been a solid option for quick, fresh meals. The staff has been friendly on each visit, and the food comes out fast. There are some great healthy choices the flavor is great. It’s nice to have another fresh option in town. Favorite menu item so far is the steak teriyaki yakisoba style!

I wanted to give this place a try but it was a disappointment to say the least.

The orange chicken was mid at best but the only thing I would eat again.

I ordered the mixed veggies and it was almost exclusively cabbage and onion with 1 piece of broccoli, a few carrot strands, and a few quartered slices of zucchini/squash. Seems like they just pick the broccoli out of the mixed vegetables for the "broccoli only" option

The fried rice had 2 single peas, a single carrot cube, and only 1 identifiable chunk of egg, the rest was clumps of rice heavily (excessively) doused in sauce.

The chicken katsu was pounded so thin it was mostly breading which was questionably over fried and definitely fried in gross oil that needed cleaned. My kids...
