Local Fixture Coffee — Restaurant in Whittier

First time going. Did not expect to walk-in to a gift shop but not mad at it. I looked around real quick just to see what they had to offer had a lot cute things to offer for all sorts of occasions. I went in with my dog and they welcome her with open arms which I love. Especially, since my dog is small and harmless and is very well behaved she just gets excited when people give her attention. When I finally went around to getting the coffee I liked how the menu had a lot of variety but not overwhelming. I just wish they had it in spot that was more readable because you’re going off a small paper. Hopefully they can upgrade to something that makes it easier to view. I couldn’t decide between two drinks which was the horchata & S’mores latte. The barista who helped explained them well to me and overall I picked the horchata latte. Which I did enjoy it wasn’t too sweet nor too grainy like most shops would make them. I even purchased a churro donut as well to pair with my drink which did go nicely; I believe they get them from a bakery near by. The donut tasted a little more like a cake donut because it was more dense and moist than a traditional donut would meaning not as light and airy also not deep fried in oil. Which is actually a good thing they are just a little small but it was still good I just wish they would offer it warmed. Overall I will most likely go in...

Had coffee here. I have never tasted anything like what I ordered before. It was latay, mocka, with something else--joy... You will find it on the menu to the top right of the page. Sorry, there are no photos. I try to get them all, but sometimes get occupied and well... you know that goes with family or friends. Also, they serve more than just coffee. Blended tea, gourmet tea, tea with coffee mix, and so on. Tea needs to be getting more props, too. There are knick-knacks here as well, office stuff, cute custom items well crafted, and cheap in any way. I will be coming back in my free time. Great gift items and birthdays. Misleading reviews. The pourover was mid, Horchata latte was good, but most importantly SUCKS to sit and work out of.

The seating is UNCOMFORTABLE, they just have ONE POWER OUTLET THAT DOES NOT WORK!!Connecting to the WiFi is unnecessarily complicated, and they just shut down the guest WiFi randomly 2 hours before store closing (store/employee WiFi was on). It’s like they don’t want you to sit there, just grab your coffee & go. Way to ruin what could have been a productive work session.
