So Bad, We Couldn't Even Eat There! My recent attempt to dine at Mi Burrito was, without a doubt, one of the most frustrating and unpleasant "non-dining" experiences I've had in years. While one might hope for a quick, satisfying meal from a burrito joint, what my party encountered was an appalling display of the absolute worst customer service imaginable, spearheaded by an employee whose attitude alone could curdle milk. This experience was so egregious, in fact, that we ended up leaving without even ordering, unable to stomach the thought of spending money in such an unwelcoming environment. From the moment we approached the counter, it was clear that we were less "customers" and more "inconveniences." The individual helping us, Alyssa, carried an air of profound annoyance that permeated the entire interaction. Every question we asked seemed to be met with a sigh or a look that plainly communicated how utterly bothered she was to perform the most basic duties of her job. It felt as though we were pulling teeth just to initiate our interaction. There was no greeting, no smile, no semblance of politeness – just a palpable sense of disdain. The core of a restaurant's success often lies not just in its food, but in its ability to make patrons feel welcome and valued. Mi Burrito, particularly through the actions of Alyssa, failed catastrophically on this front. Her rudeness wasn't just off-putting; it was actively detrimental, to the point where we collectively decided that enduring such an atmosphere was simply not worth it. We turned on our heels and walked out, finding it impossible to give our business to an establishment that clearly views its customers as burdens. In a competitive culinary landscape, customer service is paramount. Mi Burrito, with its abysmal front-of-house conduct, seems to have forgotten this fundamental principle entirely. Unless you enjoy being treated as an imposition and potentially leaving on an empty stomach due to sheer exasperation, I strongly advise you to take your appetite – and your money – elsewhere. There are countless other establishments where your patronage will actually be appreciated, unlike...
Read moreI would regularly buy from their original location on pioneer in Norwalk back in the day and I'm very disappointed. Of course when the owners were working customer service was outstanding. Then I went a few times to the cerritos location & it was still awesome. Now that I'm back in town decided to give the Whittier location a try and everything just digressed sad to say. The taste is not the same, customer service was horrible they never brought me any hot sauce nor condiments that normally compliment my order. Servers were catering to other customers and just disregarded me (not that I want them bugging but, customer service definitely needs to improve). Not sure if it's owned by the original family that owned it but, yeah not what it used to be. Unfortunately in this life nothing lasts forever, definitely won't recommend nor am I...
Read moreThis place is like one of those slightly more than a "hole in the wall' establishments. Tho they have a covered patio (with movable plastic windows when it rains) that's a decent size. And a little corodor for eating inside, it's a place that looks like one of those red roof taco bars you find on the coast... And like those kind of places, it's got that authentic Mexican taco, burrito, enchilada, rice and bean plates, that seem more reserved for nicer sit down restaurants. It's a good take out place. Just walk in pay, grab and go as others are in line waiting for seats. And they wrap the food well so it was still Very hot when we got it home. I think I saw there's like 9 of these places, which seemed funny 'cause the food is very much like a one off mom & pop shop... try it,...
