Thai House — Restaurant in Whittier

I was kind in giving the second overall star to be honest, but the mango sticky rice in my order was absolutely delicious. I work nearby, and many of my friends have already tried this place. They raved about the food and the kindness of the workers. I could eat Thai food every day, so I was very excited! Unfortunately though, I didn't share a similar experience as them. I won't go on about all of it, but the largest issue I had was being spoken about in a foul manner, in front of my face, in a different language. You can speak whatever language necessary to each other, but I don't think it's nice to interrupt ordering process with a side conversation, and you certainly don't talk about customers- let alone in front of them. I ordered their lunch special with skepticism because it sounded like a good deal but was weary of the quality of the meat they would use for my dish. I was pleasantly surprised! I'm not a fan of dark meat because of the fatty stuff/ligaments you typically find but this chicken was pretty clean. I ordered the cashew chicken lunch meal and I loved that they use fresh vegetables and the chicken isn't battered. My only two suggestions is to confirm preparation time for online orders so we can pick it up hot and secondly please add dressing for the salad. I loved that you use fresh veggies for the salad as well but it had zero flavor due to the lack of salad dressing. Pros: Reasonable prices, Clean, somewhat stylish, super good services.

Cons: Soup we order was A, Pad Thai noodle was B+(bit over done noodle), Pineapple fried rice (B- bland but I asked for non spicy and maybe that contributed to lackluster flavor)

Overall: Very good value. Given the reasonable prices, we were pleasantly surprised. I took my parents there and we all agreed that this is a good place to visit, so will be back again.

P.S.: The restaurant gave us a cup for drinking cold or hot drink. I normally are very skeptical when I get a free gift as they all turn our useless junk. This cup is actually useful. The cup has the restaurant name and address. This is smart marketing because when the cup is sitting on my desk, it reminds me to get some thai food at Thai House...
