Unfortunately, we've had the unpleasant experience of a different waitress who - over at least six visits - has been flippant, spends most of her time on her cell phone or socializing with staff, and gives the impression that she is being bothered if you ask for even the smallest thing - like extra napkins, coffee refills, etc. And good luck getting her attention to even make the request. She also appears to pick and choose customers that she likes - showing very different demeanors with them and making others feel unwelcome.
As for the food, the fried eggs have excellent flavor from the grill; oatmeal is creamy and hot; ham is thick and tender; bacon is robust; and, caffeinated as well as decaffeinated coffees are rich with flavor. Biscuits, however, are dry, crunchy, hard, and cold. Even after soaking it in honey for about 20 minutes, it's crunchy and crusty. They need to re-think what's going on with that in the kitchen. The menu also is sorely lacking in healthy options like lactose-free, sugar-free, and gluten-free for those with various medical conditions such as myself; and, the cheeses they use appear to be highly processed versions.
As a breakfast spot with affordable prices for most and some good tasting dishes, it can realize its full potential with careful planning and ASKING for feedback from customers. By doing so, they could learn a lot to expand their customer base and...
Read moreJimmy's Egg today was especially busy as it usually is for Sunday lunch/brunch. My boyfriend and my two 4 year old daughters stood in line for a few minutes patiently to be seated. We were seated pretty quickly. A waitress came took our drink order at approximately 1120am and 5 minutes later a different waiter returned with them. No complaints at this time. We were ready to order and proceeded to wait and look for the guy who said he would be back to take our order. An hour later (after just trying to be patient and positive with two 4 year olds whose drinks are empty and they are hungry) we tracked down our waiter via complaining to the other waitstaff telling them that no one has taken our order or given refills or kids menus. 20 minutes later (this is now almost 1pm) he comes and takes our order. After having to complain about our food still not coming out 30 minutes later to the "head waitress" it comes out... cold, some things missing, and others made wrong (eggs). I tell her this is unacceptable we deserve some type of compensation and she says let me go see what I can do. Comes back with our ticket and 10% off. This saved me the tip I damn sure wouldn't give.. after feeling like a $3 discount was not enough for 2 hours of pure hell in their establishment the GM decided to let her comp a full meal. THAT WAS COLD AND WRONG IN THE FIRST PLACE. Well great. We paid for the remainder and left. We will never be back to Jimmy's Egg in Wichita Falls. This is the 2nd time we have had a terrible experience. Bad management. Waitstaff overloaded.. and food was either cold and unsatisfying...
Read morePoor management, my mom and I wanted to come in for some breakfast after shopping this morning.
The server lady was rude from the start. I asked her what her iced coffee options were and she pointed and flipped the menu aggressively slammed it on the table. Later she came back with warm coffee and slammed my moms coffee cup on the table. (Which my mom didn’t mention till later since she tries to avoid conflict) I tried to ignore her rudeness since I was really just trying to enjoy my breakfast. Later she came by and took our order. Which I wasn’t quite ready but I felt rushed my mom was ready and she took her order. I told her to come back for my order and she looked at me with such an attitude and made a grin as if I was bothering her. I asked her to get me a different server.(respectfully) I believe his name was Bobby he was really nice and helpful. I asked for the lady’s name who was helping us (since she didn’t have a name tag) and Bobby said she is the manager. I was shocked that a manager could treat her customers so rudely. I really hope she doesn’t treat her Hispanic cooks or her staff in such form. Bobby offered for him to serve or to come back on the days he is here. (Seemed like he knew the type of attitude of his manager) (I’m not sure if there is more than one manager but she was a lady with dark hair very pointy nose)
Anyways I didn’t get a name but the manager was very rude and treated us poorly. I paid for my...
