Food is AMAZING, but the staff & environment kill the experience. Today was my first time going to doc's. I've heard wonderful things & wanted to try it for myself.
When we walked in there were two ladies working, not once did they say "be with you in a minute" or "welcome to doc greens" or acknowledge us in any way.
They're busy, okay, I'll cut them some slack. So we check out the board to figure out what we want. When we moved to the "order here" spot, it took several minutes for one of them to come over (again, not once did either of them say "be right there" or anything to that effect).
When one of them finally came over, my friend had questions about what to order. When he asked his question, the girl working behind the counter was very huffy with her answers.... "the meat we have is whatever is on the board...." ...alrighty then....
So we order, & were given tickets, & go to check out. The other girl working sees a line forming at the register, but never stops what she's doing or acknowledges our existence. A few minutes later the huffy chick comes over, takes our money, but never says thank you.
When she brought our food to the table, there was no silverware. There were multiple tables that were covered with dirty plates & parts of the floor was dirty the entire time we were there.
The bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while, floors were dirty, trash was overflowing.
Towards the end of our visit one of the workers started cleaning tables, but then she left the cart of dirty dishes in the hall by the bathroom doors instead of taking it to the back.
These 2 ladies obviously need supervision & educated on customer service.
I've read through some of the reviews on this specific location before I started writing this - this is obviously an ongoing problem.... it concerns me that it's been reported multiple times yet nothing has changed.
I'll be coming back again because the food is amazing, but in the long run I'd rather have not so amazing food with good customer service than amazing food with horrible...
Read moreThis seems to be a common trend at this location so here's my experience:
At the counter, I ask for a Dr. Caesar + steak, chopped, and medium rare. The girl repeats my order back to me and hands me the ticket, sending me down to the register. Meanwhile, she looks over to the grill and yells "steak for salad, MEDIUM", as if completely ignoring my request for medium rare while I'm still standing there. I think to myself, no big deal, I'm sure it'll still come out at least satisfactory but here's where things get even worse. The woman at the grill pulls out a bag of pre-chopped steak/beef that's been grilled/burnt to a crisp and sets it on the counter, waiting for the rest of my salad to be prepared.
Now given these events, my question is, WHY even ask me/gaslight me into the illusion of having a choice in how my food is going to be prepared when you're just going to disregard all of that and serve me some nasty, dried out beef jerky instead? I've only ever been to this Hillside location and the Derby one; the Derby one will pull out a fresh piece of meat and cook it perfectly to match my request. Every. Single. Time. Why is there such a disparity with the quality in these two locations??
That's all. Avoid this location like the plague if you can. This is the 3rd time I've gone here out of a whim/I happen to be on this side of town and they just can't ever seem to provide me with at bare minimum,...
Read moreIncredibly disappointed with my once favorite salad stop. I always order the Dr. Fiesta as I love the zesty chipotle ranch. Ordered it today and was disappointed that it was the wrong dressing in my salad after waiting 15mins for a salad I think they forgot about. When I approached the counter they all were puzzled and after asking if the dressing recipe changed and not answered was told they would remake it for me. They should have asked more questions or attempted to problem solve but instead I got the same salad and the same wrong dressing.
I asked a girl busing the tables again about the dressing saying it was nothing like the previous dressing and although still kind, was met with yet another, maybe your confused look. Finally she admitted to me that they changed the chipotle ranch about two weeks ago but was the first to say anything about it.
The new dressing is plain, doesn't even taste like ranch which supposedly is the base, and taste NOTHING like chipotle seasoning. Was offered to order something else to replace my salad but at this point would be late for work. Can't see myself returning for an $11 salad that has flavorless dressing.
Seems to me like they were not attentive or had too many new employees. Overall, poor service for a...
