The employees at the Dutch Bros on Maize Rd are normally very nice and respectful, but I had an encounter today that was disappointing. I went to purchase a large drink for a crazy straw today (as part of a promotion), because the app mentioned if you purchase a medium or large drink on 6/20, a crazy straw would be included with every purchase. When I went to pick up my large drink order at 6 AM, I was told I would not receive a crazy straw, because it started at 3 PM. On the app, it did not specify a time these would start being handed out (as it typically does), so that was very misleading! I also received a less than pleasant response from the employee who mentioned it was basically my responsibility to look on social media to view the details of the promotion. I did not know to do this because the details are always straightforward on the Dutch Bros app. The employee would not do anything to correct this issue and implied I would have to come back at 3 PM to purchase another drink. I know this is a minor problem, but it is still irritating when you are misled like this and receive a response like I did! The lesson is always look at MULTIPLE sources before believing what you see!...

When I got up to the window the girl gave me a medium and said "It's the same amount just with light ice" and that they accidentally made the wrong size. What? I told her I don't understand and don't think that's fair because I paid for a large. She then said that they only had a limited number of large lids and were saving them?? So what do I have to do to get a large cup other than being a paying customer?? She said "but we'll do it for you", while the girls making it were giggling the whole time. Lol ok, well now I have a large drink that I'll have to throw away and go elsewhere. Would probably have better customer service if at least one person working in there...

But my husband is sick so I thought I’d do a pick up order for the first time. I put in my order and it said estimated pick up for 9:28 (10 mins after I put in the order). Great, I can pick up the food then grab my Dutch bros and head home. I got there at 9:32 and gave the barista my name. I didn’t get my coffee until 9:42…. No apology for the wait. I don’t know if he even looked at when my drink was supposed to be ready. It took the same amount of time as if I just walked up and ordered.
