This location has the worst customer service. If you want customer service then go to the store on North Maize Rd.

A little over 30 minutes before closing they told me that they didn't have 8 pieces of fish and they weren't going to drop anymore. Moments later, they said that they had 7 pieces. I said okay then make one a chicken plank. Then they said that they already threw away extra crunchies. They didn't tell me what my total was but clearly stated that they were sorry and just tired.

Usually for 8 pieces of fish and/or chicken with 6 hushpuppies comes to a total of $12 or so. They tell me at the window that my bill was over $18. I declined and went to another fast food place.

I would have gladly waited for fresh food. But told no from the get go was a good turn away. The price should have been listed for family packs without sides.

Just make that short drive to north Maize Rd and they will take care of you with great customer service and even happy to do so even if they are a half an hour away or more from closing for the night.

Another time at this store, I didn't get my complete order. I saw another box there that she didn't put in the bag. It wasn't until later that I realized that it was the rest of my order.

I was really impressed with the team working at this Long John's. We don't go out for seafood often but I took my elderly dad here today for a quick and early lunch. We were right at 11 a.m. and they were unlocking the doors and couldn't have been more pleasant to the annoying people getting there early. :-) They were patient with my elderly dad being slow and easily confused. Brought our food out to our table for us. And the food (cod dinners) were darn good. Hush puppies cooked perfectly.

But I wanted to touch on the team. That building is super old. I'm old and it's older than I am. :-) I went there as a kid. It's run down and needs some work. But it was SPOTLESS. The floor in the dining room was so clean. The booth we were in was a little rough, but dang, it was squeaky clean. I could peek into the kitchen and prep areas at the register - super clean. These folks care about their jobs and food safety. I've been in fancy restaurants and paid a lot more - then looked into the kitchen as I walked by to see a hot, dirty mess. The Hispanic girl working the front didn’t ring me up right. Rang me up for a fish and chicken platter when I asked for fish and shrimp platter & wanted to replace the fish for chicken. When my order came out I received all chicken…no shrimp . No big deal right? I can get it fixed right? When I approached her to explain it was wrong she instantly got an attitude and basically told me I said I wanted all chicken. Now tell me why I would order all chicken in a fish and shrimp dinner??? Makes no sense. Then it gets worse. I tried talking to her about it and she literally walked away from me and was ignoring me so then some guy steps in and says he will take care of the mix up (as he should) I asked the guy to talk to the manager and he said he was the manager. Lol like what?? He said he would take care of it. Yeah ok buddy. The girl had no respect at all for the customer or even him as her boss clearly because of the way she ac treed in front of him.
