Front desk lady Rebecca refused to honor my explore rate I booked my room under upon arrival and shown proper credentials. Respectfully I said she was making a mistake that I’ve never had a problem before. She stated that Marriotts “made new changes” bull crap! I just used it the day before, so I ended up paying what I had to get my room because there was no other managers on site. She also denied me an upgrade even though I’m Gold Elite. Come to find out they did make a mistake & charged me double what I was supposed to pay for my stay. When I called back after I left & already checked out, did further research myself, she said they knew they made a mistake, but it took me checking out & leaving, calling back to tell them to refund me for them to do the right thing. I would’ve been over charged still had I not called back. I get you’re a small hotel in a small city but it’s not right to try to get over on charging guest more, so make sure to check your receipts. They did fix it today & refunded me. However doesn’t take away the fact I felt discriminated against, she asked personal questions that were none of her business. Never had that experience at Marriott before. Train your staff properly. With that being said, there is one thing I WAS NOT HAPPY ABOUT!!! When I checked out, I needed to get to the airport for a flight home. There were two valets working. Emily and Richard. I watched Emily bully her way into the valet stand to get the keys to my vehicle I then watched her stroll off at a leisurely pace. She took FOREVER to bring my car back. Richard was so kind and seemed like he cared more about my needs. He apologized over and over for Emily's lack of professionalism and her not seeming to care that I had a flight to catch. When she finally showed back up with my car, I expressed how angry I was that it took so long. She apologized but I could tell she didnt mean it. She acted like she cared enough to load my luggage in my car, but I knew she didn't mean it so I loaded my bags myself. Sorry for the long vent, but EMILY made me miss my flight. This person does not deserve to be a valet, over 15 minutes when no one else is waiting for a vehicle is uncalled for.

Read moreAmazing hotel but huge warning at the end!! The hotel itself was amazing!! The lobby and rooms were both really well done. I can be really picky about rooms and this one checked every single box. Comfy bed, amazing shower and water pressure, fluffy towels. They even have a hydration station on every floor where you can get ice but also water! The staff was incredibly kind and really caring. BEWARE! The road noise was absurdly loud.. it sounded like cars were racing constantly from pretty much 7 pm to midnight.. really loud engines and revving. I looked out multiple times, the traffic wasn’t heavy but I could not believe how loud and constant it was! Literally, every few minutes for hours! It was impossible to sleep. And the windows were not soundproofed at all, you could hear everything. I wish we had read, the hotel across the street has reviews from the last year all saying the same so it sounds like it’s not a new problem or going to change anytime soon. I’m so devastated… we absolutely loved the hotel and was planning on making it our go in Wichita but it’s not worth it if you don’t...
