As much as it pains me to leave this review after eating here several times. Folks the prices on the menu are not the actual prices as we found out today. We were told the menu was about two years old. Everything that we ordered cost anywhere from a dollar to 5.00 dollars more on our bill. None of these increases are noted anywhere on the menu. if youâre going to jack up the prices on the receipt. At least let your wait staff inform the customerâs. The prices on the menu are lower than what you will be charged. A chicken Caesar salad the young lady was charged an additional five dollars on top of the advertised price for the chicken Caesar salad.. there was only five of us eating and there was an extra $30-$40 added to the total cost that was not on the menu. Again, if youâre going to raise your prices, change the menus after two years. people know that your bills going to be higher than what your expecting. Look at your billâŚ.. On an average a dollar to five dollars was added on to every item on our table. Great food but that is just not good business practice. I understand things have gone up. Iâm a business owner. After two years change your menu update it. Or put something on the menu that reflects these prices are old prices and youâre gonna be paying much more. Unfortunately, the service today was the worst. Items came drizzling out one at a time and they werenât busy at the time. One of the people in our party went up to the counter to put in her orders, and she arrive late for a salad. Apparently she gave the order to the OWNERS SON. And he never told nobody about the salad. So as weâre sitting there waiting and waiting and waiting it took her probably 4045 minutes to get a salad. A chicken Caesar salad, that she was charged an additional five dollars for a piece of chicken. After we were already done eating. Then they had the nerve to charge her for it and then charge for more than the price on the menu. Good food just be transparent about your cost. Let your wait staff inform people these. Menus are two years old. This is exactly why we stopped going to a place in Allentown. Hiding fees most people donât look at their bills. You may have just lost customers. Iâm sure itâs not a big deal but. Look at your receipts. Itâs funny when we left a good review after eating here for the first time. They were very responsive to the review. Now an honest real review comes in about their pricing and they are crickets. What do you have to say? UPDATED: OWNER REACHED OUT TO GIVE APOLOGY TO US. APPRECIATE ITâŚ. Still check your prices⌠bad service can be improved on. The FOOD is still...
Read moreI had the garlic knot pizza, hot wings, and cheese fries. The pizza was outstanding! So much delicious garlic and butter. The crust was better than I could have ever imagined. The sauce was silky and smooth, with nice hints of herbs and spices. Not too much, not too little. I'm a little picky when it comes to pizza cheese and this was superb! Nice and stretchy, not greasy at all, it carried the other flavors of the pie so we'll. While this wasn't the standard pie, I can only assume that any pizza you get here is going to be similar high quality.
The wings were enormous and the hot sauce had a nice tang. Not incredibly spicy, but exactly as hot as I expected. I ordered crispy, and they were a little soggy, but under the current circumstances (Covid, for future readers) I would bet that they would be perfection if I could have had them for done for dine in. Still one of the best batches of wings I've had in a while.
The fries were nicely cooked and quite thick. Very tasty and so filling. The cheese on the side was also excellent. I'm going to have to try the specialty fries because they also look great!
I also want to add that the waitress was very pleasant! We didn't have much interaction (again, due to the circumstances of outside pickup), but she was very welcoming.
Overall, you would be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't try Franco's. Easily one of the best restaurants in Wilkes Barre. I will 100% be...
Read moreI go to Franks a lot out of convenience since I work late. They're open late usually until 12am which is awesome but their food is bland at worst and decent at best. Most importantly their prices are ridiculous and orders are constantly messed up! I often have to slowly repeat myself so they don't mess it up and 2/3 times they still get my order wrong(I usually only order a few things). The highlight was my girlfriend ordered a capresi salad recently that was not on the menu and when I got the receipt there was no price breakdown. I basically paid $12 for a salad that was terrible with only a little bit of mozzarella that I could have made at home after I subtracted the price of everything else from the price on the menu. This wasn't just once this is ALL THE TIME related to deceptive pricing and inaccurate orders. It's a shame because I tried to give them multiple chances assuming it wouldn't happen again but I can consistently tell you if you order from Franks you'll be disappointed in one...
