I never liked sushi, but I would entertain my husband and try it. For the first time, I actually enjoyed the food at a sushi dinner with my husband and it was at Sakura!! I never in my life thought I'd be wanting more raw fish. We have visited a few times.
I loved the tuna tartare appetizer on a bed of seaweed salad. Best I've ever had.
The Money Bags appetizer was temperature hot--fried, rich, and delicious.
The white tuna is so smooth. The eel (cooked) is amazing, I can't believe I tried it and liked it. And the yellow tuna is one of my favorites. I like most rolls without the seaweed wrap, I am discovering. I also discovered the sushi fish they serve here is more room temperature than cold. You would not think that would be good, but I actually loved that I could taste the real flavor of the fish and it not taste "fishy".
They have added cocktails to the menu as well. The lychee martini was good!!

Read moreOur 1st time to dine at Sakura was on Valentine's Day 02/14/2022 around 4:30pm so we could beat the dinner crowd. They were attentive and eager to have us join them. We were seated and our waiter followed up moments after to take our drink and appetizer order as well as make recommendations and answer questions about the menu. Our appetizers arrived fresh and hot, followed by some of the freshest tasting sashimi we have had in years. My wife actually ordered a second plate which is the first time I have ever seen her do that. I ordered a kitchen prepared combination hibachi plate and finished it. We look forward to visiting Sakura often and am happy they have a location close to home so we don't have to go in town to get sushi. Along with the truly exceptional customer service, we were completely satisfied with Sakura from each interaction and menu...
Read moreThe hibachi here is inedible. My husband ordered the steak hibachi cooked medium and I ordered the chicken with light sauce. The steak was very undercooked and the cooked part looked a sickly brown color. The chicken was overcooked and extremely dry and chalky. Both were swimming in a sauce that probably didn't include one real food ingredient. It was awful. We each barely took one bite before deciding we couldn't safely eat the food, let alone give any to our child. I politely let the manager know about the meal and she insisted the meat was fresh and then handed us a full-price bill. Sure, we ordered food and can pay for it. But as a business owner, I would never let someone walk away with such a terrible experience at my restaurant. It was a complete waste of $50 and we will never return. I highly recommend that others...
