I would prefer to respond to you, Michele Suttles, privately but I don't know how. It is obvious you have never been in either of my establishments because: there is rap music on the juke box, it just takes an extra credit to play, I carry a full line of liquor from bar stock to Patron, you're just trying to rack up points, you're a liar or a friend of Ed's from the Vape Shop who I recently barred. I am neither a racist nor a bigot and never told anyone I wouldn't have hired them had known they were gay. The statement you have miserably twisted is when I told one of my KJ's "I knew you were gay when I hired you" and that was in response to something he said to me. As for your other comments, we get compliments on the cleanliness of our facilities from the bar to the restrooms, we cater to women and I have heard again and again how "safe" women feel coming in alone because we watch out for them. Based on your "review" of a place you have never set foot in, I can only believe you are posting for Ed because he doesn't have the guts to do it himself, you have been used. This is ED to a T! Your statement about the rap music, though twisted and inaccurate is why Ed is barred. He apparently has a fetish for one song in particular that uses the "f" word about 40 times throughout the song. He pushed it too far when on NYE with a packed house he requested my KJ play that song, fortunately he had more class than Ed and declined...

This is not the place if you are looking for a place to hang out. I went in there to dance and make friends. Talked to A Man who was going through cancer. Nice conversation a couple of dances. Not by all means looking for anything more than that. Later in the night this woman comes over sits in his lap a begins to tell me He is Her best friend. Thinking I was meeting a new friend she begins to try intimidating. When I simply told Her I was just there to make friends she calls a male employee of to us. I explained I had done nothing wrong He suggested I go. The man did say she was His best friend but no relationship. She seemed to just want to start trouble and without a thought the employee took her side. They are regulars I was a new person hoping to find a nice friendly hangout. I can understand She may have been jealous but that was no reason for the employee to take Her side just because She had an issue with her best friend talking to another woman. I will never go back. I tell My friends to go to the other TJ's Country. They are real Sweethearts and are very welcoming to...

Go there every once in awhile. My only complaint is the DJ has the music up WAY to loud. (Even when customers are singing karaoke.) It's a small building and it doesn't need to be that loud. You can't sit there and have a conversation, because you can't hear what anyone is saying. He needs to tone it down a couple of notches. When I go usually almost always Kathy is the bartender and she is FANTASTIC! Really knows how to make your drinks! (And of course she's been there 13 or 16 years.) That's really my only complaint...please have the DJ tune it down several notches. I've seen on some of the reviews customers have said the same thing. Terri the owner is a wonderful woman...got a good thing going for WILLIS, TX.
