McGillicuddy's Alehouse — Restaurant in Williston

This has been one of the only restaurants during this past year that we have gone to where we have felt safe and not only enjoyed the food but the employees. We had a completely different experience last night . We walked in at 8:20 and immediately felt like they didn’t want us there (they close at 9)I understand that they have to shut the kitchen down and we offered to order for everyone early before our party arrived and they assured us it was fine . We ordered quickly and were enjoying our dinner (it was my husbands birthday) and exactly at 9 pm they turned the lights on, shut all the TVs and the music off . We weren’t the only party left in the restaurant. I’ve never experienced anything like it and will never go back, the bartender was rude , and when asked if he would like it if this happened to him, replied that he would have to stay an extra 10 minutes if they didn’t do that. Terrible...

Our last couple of visits have been sub par. Shepherd's Pie used to come is a dish and now looks like it comes out of a big tray. My last batch of chicken wings looked liked the chickens were malnourished. The corned beef wrap was exactly that and nothing more... we had to ask for some cheese. We had one alcoholic drink (16 oz beer), no dessert, and our bill for 3 was $80 before tip. You ever get that feeling after you get the bill and think to yourself "that wasn't an $80 meal"? That's how we came away feeling. I don't know of there's been a change of ownership or management or what's going on, but the place seems to have slid. It was better even during the pandemic when it was take out only. Over the years we've literally spent thousands there, but we've most likely had our last meal there. Todd & Sandy ......

This has been a go-to location for a long time for me and coworkers on Sunday evenings. The food and service was always good. On Sunday, March 27th, my buddy and I came in at 5:15 to eat, were approached and seated as soon as we walked in, but were never again acknowledged. We never were approached for a drink or food order. We waited 25 minutes, all while the couple who came in about 20 minutes after us were seated and immediately served. We decided to wait a couple extra minutes to see if anyone could notice we still had menus on the table. I should also mention we were the only ones seated on high-tops, and there appeared to be three waitresses.
