I visited this location one time previously and service met its purpose. Today I gave it another try because I like Brew Haha and while they don’t run the same, I really wanted a cinnamon raisin bagel.
No greeting walking into the establishment ( I looked as the cashier was perhaps finishing up a task ) He may have been new because he asked the manager (Kay) for some assistance.
When it was time to take my order he said how may I help you? I requested a bagel but unfortunately they didn’t have any ( vendor issue). I asked if they had croissant since I didn’t see any in the glass display. He said yes in the back. I said can you toast it and he said yes. I then ordered tea and asked which sizes they had ( as he went to scratch his hair under his hat) and proceeded to touch the cup. I waited to the side while my order was being prepared when I over heard him saying - can you place her crossiant in the microwave. I immediately said I requested toasted and he said they don’t for safety reasons. I said you can cancel the crossiant. He said ok.
Then KAY ( the manager) says yes because most people are okay with it. I said well I’m not most people and she laughed. So, I said since I’m not most people I would like a full refund. She obliged and said sure and I said thank you. Note: she said she was the manager when I asked who was the manager. Well, I was taken aback as person being in leadership I would never laughed at a customer.
To the owner of all Brew Haha there is a difference between microwaving and toasting a croissant. If the cashier would of told me that in the beginning this wouldn’t have been too big...
Read moreI love all Brew Haha’s and usually have a pleasant experience. Today, unfortunately, I was greeted by a rude employee as I was abiding by the social distancing rules and the posting on the front door. I placed my order online while standing in the store, because I realized I never completed the order before arriving. As the barista started making my order, a large man told me to stand outside quite abruptly. It was raining hard, which he could clearly see and stared I could stand underneath the awning. I stepped outside and the rain started coming down harder and splashing underneath the awning. I noticed nowhere on the door did it state that I had to stand outside. I went back inside and explained to the man that it was cold and the rain is splashing underneath the awning. He rudely told me I still had to stand outside even though the front door states only a mask is required to enter (which I had on.) I asked for a refund and left. I completely understand safety precautions in the middle of a pandemic but, if that is a rule it should be clearly stated and politely communicated. I was standing by the front door, no where near the counter when I was asked to stand outside. I am a frequent customer and deserved...
Read moreI had a very pleasant experience here at this location. I didn't even know they were there until I walked by. I was downtown coming from doing some banking business and I was in the process of walking back to Wilmington hospital when I came across the shop. I didn't even realize it was a coffee house chain, at first I thought it was independent. The gentleman who waited on me was very nice. I didn't get any coffee this time. I just got a couple of pastries and a croissant sandwich. Everything was very delicious and I will certainly try to come back here the next time I...
