Came because of the reviews & wanted to try a good vegan place in Delaware, got the chik’n patty & fries and the V-Shrimp (mushrooms) po-boy. It was good. I definitely have to check out the breakfast here! 🙂 they’re located inside the DECO building. Limited street parking. I walked 3 blocks.. but it was kind of worth it. A little pricy $$ but I guess that’s also part of inflation.
Update: tried the breakfast it was good! Nothing over the top/my favorite. The elderberry pancakes and potatoes were like $15.00 and they barely gave any us any potatoes. The portion size for the price didn’t match. One pancake was undercooked… unsure how you undercook a pancake. Things happen, I’m just glad we didn’t get all the way home before I noticed. Tha griddle sandwich (pictured below) was decent though! I added the cheese sauce. The ginger lemonade ($6) tasted very spicy maybe add a little less ginger.. or add something sweet like pineapple juice.. I added OJ and it helped. It’s always a learning experience trying new things but homemade vegan food is ALWAYS best and most...
Read moreDelectablez, hands down, offers some of the tastiest, healthiest, most visually appealing food options in Wilmington, DE. Tamara, an amazing, jovial, and inviting woman, does an exceptional job of teaching you the "Why" behind her menu and how you should consume her food options. One memory I have is when Tamara mentioned to me that the items are "Meant to be consumed with your hands" and you will get messy, but it's well worth it. Subsequently, I took her advice and after each meal, I leave with a satisfied belly and messy hands -- the way I should leave after a meal at Delectablez. Aside from that, her price point is perfect, the service is great, the craftsmanship of her meals are to be applauded & revered, and her team is just as strong. I believe in supporting black owned businesses and recycling the black dollar & Delectablez is a business that I enjoy spending my money with. Try it out -- you won't be...
Read moreDepending on where you are in your journey this restaurant could be a deal breaker. However, if you are lenient about what you consume when you travel then you'll be fine. I am happy medium with what I just wrote. I am not fond of the plant lab meats so my options were very limited. I got elderberry pancakes and they were delicious. I just wish they were bigger or I had the option to get them without a heaping side of potatoes. I also purchased home fries but made some changes to it. I wanted dessert but I'm not a fan of plain chocolate cake. I was looking to throw all my money here but I'm glad I was able to support them somehow. Again, this may be your dream spot to go to if you are just transitioning to plant alternatives so go ahead support and get your experience. The owner also told me they have different specials than what's on the menu from time to...
