Cryptid Den — Restaurant in Wilmington

I came here with my mom to listen to live music music but would never go back strictly because the bartender and manager were so rude to me and my mom. I went to grab me and my mom some waters and my mom a drink and I didn’t have my ID and only had a picture and the bartender was really snarky with me and so left and I heard her talking about me as I was leaving. I told my mom she needed to grab her own drink because they weren’t workin with me. The manager must have been just waiting and watching us because I took one sip of my moms drink to try it and the manager came and raised her voice at us and treated me like I was a criminal or something and then took my moms drink and threatened to kick us out. mind you I’m 30 years old and my mom is 65 l Even offered to show the manager a picture of ID again. Honestly I understand if the manager were to speak to us kindly and with respect and understanding then I wouldn’t even be upset, but it was very aggressive and over the top and made me and my mom really uncomfortable. RUN DONT WALK!! this place is absolutely amazing, Whitney was our bartender and was the most kind, knowledgeable, and funny human i’ve encountered working downtown. the drinks were amazing (the strawberry cider especially!!) and Whitney gave us a ton of food and bar recommendations for around town!!
