Dunkin' — Restaurant in Wilmington

I don't like leaving bad reviews, but this is a warning to all! Don't waste your time, money, or energy on this Dunkin; it's not worth it!💀 Every now and then, I pop in to see if (hopefully) better staff/management are working there, but somehow they always disappoint!

As a Taco Bell manager, I sympathize with how demanding and rude some customers can be, but this store just sucks! The first negative experience I had with them was last year; I ordered a meal deal and my coffee was bearable, but not good! It tasted watered down and for some reason, it's so difficult for ya'll to fill the cup full! Don't even get me started on the croissant that came with it or the hashbrowns! I'm not even trying to be dramatic, but it was TERRIBLE! I couldn't believe it! It tasted so old that I had to spit it out!

As nervous as I was to retry this dunkin, I figured it would be fine because I'm not getting food, so it's less of a risk.... Haha jokes on me, I thought too highly of the staff on shift!

I tried to call the store to ask them if they could put light ice in the drink I ordered off of the app (because the Sabrina drink doesn't give you the option and other stores do it no problem)... Guess what?! No one answers, so I think, "okay, if I get there quick enough, it should be fine!" (I was literally 5 minutes away)

I show up and say, "Hey, I have a mobile order for Brooke. Is there anyway you can make it light ice, please?" This lady says snarkily, "We already made it and if we dump the ice out, then I'm not adding more drink. Do you still want light ice?" I laugh and say, "No, I'm good." As if I'm not paying $6 for a coffee! (Also, I want to add that the ONLY reason I even felt comfortable enough to ask for light ice is due to how quick I showed up and because at another location they forgot to put light ice, but they fixed it at the window; it literally took them 30 seconds because theyre awesome unlike ya'll) Are you kidding me?! For it to be a CUP OF ICE and since ya'll are incapable of doing the bear minimum, I also have to shovel ice out of my drink, so it doesn't taste as watered down as it ALREADY DOES BECAUSE YA'LL SUCK SO MUCH! I was so flabbergasted; I will never go back! Such a poor representation of Dunkin! I'm sure ya'll are proud of yourselves and find it funny... I wish you the best... I know ya'll need it! Never in my 28 years have I ever felt disrespected by a business. I had went to this location and was trying to use my rewards, and I’m still new to the app so I was trying to figure out what rewards you can convert to use. I had picked a coffee and a sandwich based off the picture on my app that stated I would get it for free with my points. I had stated to the male worker that I wanted to try to use it cause he said he was unsure whether it would work and offered me another sandwich I said can we try, I go up to the window it did not work so I immediately apologize because I had stated you know on the app in the picture it shows that you can get that sandwich and then I had asked if I can just get the classic sandwich . The worker was huffing and puffing basically had an attitude , you can also tell with his stance and how he was pressing the buttons. He was like this is why I said to get a classic sandwich cause I had told you it wasn’t gonna work. I told him I’m sorry that I’m being an inconvenience to you . There was one car behind me so it’s not like I was taking up everyone’s time off of one sandwich. He then says now I’m gonna have to make another sandwich And start your order all over again as he walked away. There was another worker standing there so I said excuse me is he the manager and she had stated yes the look on her face wasn’t any better than his cause she looked like she didn’t even wanna be there. My friend always grabs me an iced coffee when she gets hers when coming to visit. Every single coffee I’ve had from dunkin is the worst in comparison to all iced coffee I’ve had in Wilmington period, and I’ve lived here my whole life. Let me break it down real small so it’s understood by all. Coffee is brewed differently for both hot and iced, you have to add sugar to only a hot or warm liquid in order for it to break down and sweeten anything you add it to. Next you have to mix it with ice therefore you can’t use anything that’s too warm, or it melts. So just to clarify, you cannot pour sugar into a cold iced coffee and expect it to be “sweet”. I feel bad for the company, it’s the people hired to be back there stirring my cold coffee with sugar. God forbid you use the liquid sugar you pump with your flavors of syrups. I feel worse for the people who also get coffee there and have the same issues as we do. Here we sit sipping with a 12in. straw, out of our small cups, (makes total sense such a huge straw?!?) trying not to take a sip of a spoonful of sugar.
