Five Guys — Restaurant in Wilmington

My last visit here (11/26/23) was the best I have ever had at this location or any five guys' location. The fries were cooked perfectly. They were not oily and not undercooked. Cooking freshly made fries can be tricky and I have received them oily and undercooked before so that is why I mention those details. On this visit, the fries were 5 stars. The burgers were also 5 stars. The hamburger patties were cooked perfectly, all the toppings were fresh and the bun had just the right amount of mayo on it. The service was also 5 stars. The person that took my order was very nice and I did not have a long wait for my food. The atmosphere at this location is nice. They remodeled it a couple of years ago. The only reason I gave 4 stars for the atmosphere was because the drink area was a bit dirty. Not terrible but could be better. Overall if you have never tried 5 guys or if you have and want to go to a location that does it right this one...

This is an authentic 5 Guys experience in Wilmington NC. The heaping fries, the tasty cheeseburgers fixed "all the way" but hold the mayo. There's no more roasted peanuts since the pandemic but I always preferred mine in a Snickers bar. I remember eating at the original 5 Guys in Arlington, Virginia (now gone). Customers had to know where it was because it was around the corner and so small. Only 4 people could stand inside at a time and one of them was dodging the door and the delivery guy. Good food, everyone likes, shouldn't change with time. Great shakes, scrumptious hearty cheeseburgers, and fries - all at one place - is hard to find. So, when I travel to Wilmington, this 5 Guys is definitely on my foodie list. Are all 5 Guys...

Very poor management. Worked there only for a little over a month. Surprised I lasted that long. If you weren't in the click you were harrassed everyday. I worked with a disabled girl that was made fun of in front of everyone including customers. Management did nothing but join in.I would work 8 hours without a break however the click got their breaks. I was also discriminated against by manager for having health issues. My hours were cut for having to go to the hospital. They should not get away with this behavior. I'm sure it will happen again to others . The worst place to work ever but having an immature person in charge is maybe...
