I went to Ombré nails to get a pedicure and dip done. I asked if they had time to, as I was not trying to waste mine or anyone’s time. Jenny said yes we have time. Someone wrapped my fingers and then sat me in a pedicure chair. Pedicure was amazing. Tommy did an amazing job and was so kind. And then they sat me down in a chair to do my hands. Mind you my fingers have been in wrapped in acetone soaked cotton for about an hour at this point. Waited and waited and waited and then finally Jenny sat down so my nails. I had been at the salon for an hour and a half at this point and only had my pedicure done. The next day I had noticed that my cuticles were so dry and my finger tips were dry, itchy and peeling. My fingers were soaking in the acetone cotton for almost two hours. I had a reaction due to overexposure to the acetone. I make sure to sanitize, wash and moisturize my hands and feet after a salon visit, as I know it could cause extra dryness. I followed my usual post mani/pedi routine. The result: my fingers DRY AND PEELING.
Finally, Jenny sits down to do my manicure. She starts, does two fingers and then starts texting someone, does too more fingers and than stops to call someone, does this 2-3 more times. She says if I post on my insta story she’d give me 15% off…didn’t receive that discount. She dipped my nails to have two layers, when I said typically other salons do 3-4 because they file it down and she said no but did one additional layer and proceeded to file the sh*t out of it, accidentally filing my cuticles in multiple spots. She didn’t acknowledge the bleeding, didn’t clean the cuts, just continued with the manicure. Not to mention made my nails sososo thin. The dip product laid on my cuticle, all jaggedly, and had a bumpy finish. My nails typically last me 3 weeks but these chipped, lifted and broke within a week.
I wanted little black hearts on my nails, Jenny did them, they looked not to my expectation so I asked her to kindly remove the design, she did but had an attitude about it. She insisted I let one of her other girls do the design (her girl looked very busy) so I said no I’m fine. She kept insisting and giving me attitude about ‘not liking her design’ so finally I agreed to let her other girl do the design. So I sat there for another 15ish minutes waiting for her girl (super sweet) to finish with her client. Like I said she was busy!
I got in my car and by that evening the design had peeled off because they put gel on top of my dip without properly prepping it. Waste of time and Jenny charged me for the design. Overall, I spent 100$ & 3.5 hours there that day and hated the experience, service and...
Read moreI have only been here twice. The first time was to get Gel X nails and my experience was exceptional! Everyone was so friendly and my nails were done to perfection and looked so good!
The second time I was convinced to add a pedicure when I only wanted to get a fill in for my nails. I agreed because they said my nails would be worked on while I got my pedi and therefore I would not be in there a couple of hours. I expressed that I did not have time for both. Long story short, I didn’t leave the salon until 2.5 hours later. The pedi was great - hot stones and the technician did a great job.
My nails were a different story. The young guy that did them was very abrasive. In addition to that, it killed my back to twist in the pedicure chair for him to start on my nails by filing them down. It was the opposite of a nice and relaxing pedicure that I was looking forward to once they talked me into it. Once I moved from the pedicure chair to his table for my nails to be finished, he was not listening to me regarding the shape I wanted - coffin. I explained and explained and used the word coffin. At one point I said, “I want them like they were when I came in. Did you pay attention to what they looked like when you filed them down?” He said no. 🤦♀️ He then spoke in another language - clearly about me - to the owner, I believe. Then she asked me 3 times if I had gotten my nails done there and who did them. I couldn’t remember since I had only been there once but I knew it wasn’t the same guy or the owner.
He then took forever to finish my nails, which are not shaped how I want them. In addition to that, he didn’t polish the edges well so now I see clear on all the edges of my nails and color on top. I go 3 weeks before I get a fill in so I get to look at these weirdly shaped, not completely polished nails for 3 weeks. That I paid $50 for. Lovely. Lastly, when I went to check out they overcharged me by $14. Thankfully I paid attention to pricing and can do math so I called them out on it and got it reduced to the proper price - $105. Not a good experience at all for $105. Zero relaxation and a rude nail technician.
The owner is very nice and she did a fantastic job on the girls nails next to me. IF I go back, I will only let her...
Read moreAfter speaking with Jenny I was asked to hold off on my review until services are re-rendered once again. And again services was not completed. Let me first say the customer service at the salon is ok everyone is friendly and very welcoming. I enjoy Jenny from the block as she calls herself she is fun and her talent for doing nails is top-notch. However, the downfall is that it should not take 3 to 4 hours to get gel-x full-set and a pedicure. Every time I've gone I've been in the salon at the max of 4 or more hours. I always went cause the service is good most of the time but the wait time is HORRIBLE!!!!! at least 5 to 6 of my friends have gone and all have said they will NEVER go back again. Jenny is never focused on one client at a time she is up and down doing one thing or another; if she can ever focus on the one client in front of her it would be great. I think she feels because her personality is bubbly and she talks fast that she can keep customers in the building. She herself has said I can talk people into anything she wants them to do as far as service in the salon. She will offer discounts on service and all the drinks you want from beer to Patron, wine etc.... whatever you drink she got it. But if you want quality and expedient service without the long wait this is not the place to go. Please find a new salon and all these 3-4-5 star reviews is because she makes sure to ask you to give her a review before you leave the salon but never takes into consideration how long it takes her to do the job. UNFORTUNATELY I WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN and suggest others that don't want to be getting your nails/feet done to be like an 8 hour shift at your job without pay DONT...
