Plain and simple, hands down this bar has no rival! A subterranean pub with affordable top self liquor and beer. I'm partial to an Old Speckled Hen and a shot of Powers. Said drink combo here is $8.50! This would cost me 12 or 13 in Williamsburg. But whatever you need they can make or they have it! The bartenders are steady and very competent and know the downtown area well if you need some food to soak up all the drinks you should've drank! Normally I love this place. It's very old & has a lot of history. Cool little bar & a great stop on the Haunted Pub Crawl. Stopped in on 8/9/19 & bartender was RUDE with a nasty attitude, messed up the drinks, said we told him wrong (which we didn't) & insisted, to near yelling, that we pay & keep the drinks. (Which were horrible) We stayed for about 5 min & left the drinks on the bar. Keep this guy around & he won't have to worry about pesky customers because there won't be any more.
