Mi Amici Bar & Grill Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Wilmington

Bless their hearts, they are really trying. But honestly:

(1) It's always a bad sign when there's a strong scented candle at the door. When the smell of the food isn't what greets you, you start to wonder... Why? (2) The food is "just ok". It doesn't really fit authentic Italian American, or authentic Italian. (3) Menu says: ask about our selection of B&W The wine list is: we have one red wine and one white wine. (4) One very friendly server for the entire restaurant. She was super nice, but kept looking like she was going to burst into tears at any moment.

Absolutely not worth the money you will spend. Everything was overpriced and not memorable in any way. I got the spinach ravioli (which the waitress told me would be enough for me to share with my two children). That was laughable; it came with 6 small pieces of ravioli, and that’s it. They call it a “bar” and restaurant, but their wine selection consists of 3 house wines which taste like they came from a box and cost $8 for a 5 oz pour. We all left hungry and absolutely unsatisfied with our experience. The only positive was that the wait staff...

The employees MUST be the reviewers here. My husband and I arrived at 4:45 (don’t judge us we have small kids! lol) We strike up a convo with the couple in the next booth who tell us how bad the food is. We’re served cold bread circles with I’m pretty sure canola oil and vinegar. 45 minutes later, I’m still waiting for my raw appetizer. (There were only 2 other tables taken there) I approached the owner who looked like a nervous clueless wreck to tell him that I can’t wait any longer for my uncooked app. The red house wine was great tho!
