I came in to get a large avocado boba with pudding. A drink i have gotten many times and I am aware of the taste of the drink. Today I took one drink and knew something was wrong with it. It tasted like chemicals. I told the girl that there was something wrong with it. She said she did everything right… I was like oh I’m sure, but there is something wrong with the drink. I asked for a different one and she said she had to charge me. I said never mind because I didn’t think that was fair. My daughter went to talk to her and she made a call. When she hung up she was very nasty. She said her boss said that she could make a new one only because it’s the holiday season… not because of any other reason. I didn’t even take the replacement. I don’t need charity for a holiday season, we spend plenty of money there and participate in a lot of of your events… I wanted a replacement because it tasted like some sort of cleaning product or dish soap… just something not normal! Her attitude was unnecessary and having a contaminated drink is also unnecessary. We have been customers of your establishment since opening on Racine. Never had a issue EVER! Know a lot of your employees by name. Anyway just thought you should know first hand my experience today and not over a short phone call. Sent this to the Facebook messenger and I got a basic nonchalant response…
Thank you for reaching out! I’m sorry for the inconvenience! We will take care of...
Read moreI hate to do this, but feel that management needs to know about the service and experience their patrons have received. I have visited twice in the last week after not visiting for a while. As I go on sitting here for 30 mins now to get a slush tea for my kid, I am not only disappointed in the wait time, but also the customer service. Both times I have visited, the person behind the counter was not greeting or welcoming (one of them look liked she wanted to be anywhere else but there) and couldn’t take the time to provide a simple courtesy of a hello or I’ll be with you in a moment. Both times there has only been 1 person behind the counter and they both seem overwhelmed and inexperienced. I know the job market is tough right now, but what keeps good, happy employees is proper training and support which has been lacking from my most recent visits.
So today as I sit here, I also witness a paying patrons drink be made wrong and the person was asked to pay again for the right drink. I spend anywhere from $15-$20 each time we stop in and these drinks are too expensive and honestly not worth it to have to pay twice and wait over 20+mins for a drink.
My kid loves the boba, but I’ll be taking my $20 drink choice elsewhere if this is...
Read moreI absolutely love this place! I’ve been to the Pointe and Racine but the downtown vibe is so cool. I’m always greeted by such cheerful people at the counter. I often ask for really interesting combinations and am so happy with the delicious, creative suggestions. For instance, I had never tried taro or almond vanilla chai, they even suggested yogurt poppers, which are amazing! I’ve gotten to know a lot of the staff, and couldn’t be happier with each of their attitudes and efforts especially when it gets really crowded. It’s so wonderful to be able to customize your own authentic Boba! People may not know that the staff arrives about two hours before opening to make a fresh batch of delicious tapioca every single day! Tap Tea offers such a special, sweet, treat to enjoy any time of day. People who enjoy their Boba are the happy...
