You Got Cone’D Ice Cream & BBQ — Restaurant in Wilson

It’s a cute little shop. I’m local and wanted somewhere close I could walk to with my little one. It’s a 3 minute walk from me so I figured I’d give this place a try. All in all- it’s just okay. They have basic soft serve and a minimal amount of hard flavors which would be nice to see more variety of. I do have to say prices are pretty outrageous compared to most ice cream shops. $14+ for a small soft serve in a cup and a waffle cone soft serve. I will most likely stick to my family’s go-to which is Ice Cream world in Allentown. For a 24 oz hand spun shake, brownie sundae, and 2 scoops on a cone I spent less than I did here at ice cream corner for two items. Might come back around if I see more variety but as of now it was a one and done trip. Service was amazing however, clean establishment which I love to see as an individual in the food industry.

Update after response from owner- Not intentionally advertising, just being honest. I have plenty of pictures of my son and I from our ice cream date at your establishment. The prices aren’t worth the lack of variety and it’s okay for me or others to have an opinion! I would’ve been up for coming back if flavors expanded but not when a business can’t handle constructive criticism in even the nicest way. I’ll gladly advertise now though— EVERYONE: go to ice cream world and don’t bother wasting your money here! Clean looking and friendly staff. The only complaint I have is that they did not wear gloves while scooping the hard ice cream. This made us have to choose soft serve, which can be very basic. Fix the glove thing, I'll give it another try. Keep reading:...

Your staff was handling money and then dipping the scooper in the hard ice cream containers and while trying to scoop it scraping their hands against the sides of the containers. It was busy, we watched the process. While gloves may be an option.. why settle for anything but the most healthy and hygienic way? Why settle for "standard" what is acceptable and not choose the more than satisfactory approach? Especially when you have other local businesses serving ice cream in the area that DO use gloves. Now that you have answered as you did, I won't be returning and I'm certain many others will decide to go elsewhere. My star rating has downgraded to a 1 star as well. Good luck, I hope you'll consider changing...

Ordered from here for the 1st time yesterday and loved it got the Mac and chee bowl with pulled pork and small twist ice cream. I enjoyed so much decided to order again today to be surprised by the completely different portion size. The ice cream had half the amount the day before had and same with Mac and chee bowl before the bowl was full now I can see the bottom all around. The amount I got today doesn’t feel worth the price especially after I received a good portion the day before. I ate half of one and have the same amount of ice cream left that I received in the one ordered today.
