I’d been looking for somewhere in the area that has real homefries so I was excited to come across Bagelsmith.
They’re a small, packed restaurant. Prices do seem a little on the higher end for things like eggs and bagels though but the cashier was very welcoming and nice.
Unfortunately I did wait quite a while for my food - home fries & eggs with cheddar cheese. And french toast.
I was really excited to sit back down at my desk and eat. The home fries were good, a bit burnt but not to the point where it did any harm flavor wise. The eggs were okay. But I really had a taste and craving for the french toast.
I eagerly went to eat it only to realize that there was a long strand of hair in my food twisted up with my french toast. A long strand that I’d almost not even seen and would have put in my mouth if it didn’t catch my eye.
I was so disgusted and of course my french toast had to be thrown out before I even tasted it.
I know that things happen but I’m seeing that i’m not the only one who has been getting hair in their food from this restaurant so unfortunately I think I’ll have to sit...
Read moreSo I just left this place and I'm disgusted on how they handled the situation. So I got food for work and as I returned to work there in in plain site a long thick piece of black hair in my food. Now I know these things happen but how could u close the box seeing it u could not miss it. So I then went into exchange it and they already had the call prior I was coming back so as I walked in all the employees were oddly quite and staring at me so that was uncomfortable then I open the box and show them that I am not lying and they slowly closed the box without a word. I then go to take my food and the one lady mumbles this happens at every place and that set me off. I have worked with people my whole life and the first thing that should have been said is we are so sorry that this happened. I've worked at restaurants that is not a response u say to someone. That was rude and I dont care to ever come...
Read moreMy experience at this place is that the people that own and manage it ruins it. This could be a decent (nothing tremendous or exceptional) little place were it not for the people running it. I despise this place! The angry, wretchedly unhappy little gal in charge is, in my opinion, a very miserable soul who loves to try to shut down your joy. As in, meet the poster child for passive aggression. What a waste of existence. And no doubt sees herself as a misinterpreted victim. I have seldom experienced anyone that I perceive to be a more miserable killjoy in my life. The old saying "misery loves company" lives and thrives here. If you want to have human-to-human interactions with people that can return something decent to you from your decency, then stay away! Curse this...
