I stepped into Aunt Jenn’s Tea and Spice shop wanting to find a variety of loose teas for my personal collection. What I left with was so much more.
Jennifer the Host and Owner has the energy of a calming old soul held within a peaceful and energetic body. As I entered the shop, I was acknowledged and greeted with a warm welcome. I immediately felt kindness and warmth on what was a wet and rainy day.
The wall of jarred teas, and racks of spices hold potions for the mind, body, and spirit. What I enjoyed most was that Jennifer left space for silence. While we spoke and chatted periodically, I was able to browse all the treasures that the Tea Shop holds without rush or urgency. There is a stillness that takes over and it is a welcoming feeling when the world around us exists in chaos and angst. When you go, take in all that the shop offers. You will find an encyclopedia of herbs left on the main dining table to review any selections and to gain more knowledge about various herbs. The packaged teas and spices are each labeled to include a few key benefits and the country of origin.
I meant to only stay for a moment, but I found a new treasure with each glance across the shop. Jennifer offered a warm cup of tea and a freshly baked scone—once prepared I felt transported to a miniature tea party at the counter top and a playful joy not known since childhood. From locally sourced candles and crafts, to a small selection of impactful books (look on the bottom shelf) Aunt Jenn’s is the perfect name. Maybe you’ve had that aunt, know that aunt, or have never had the pleasure of knowing a person or family member like Jennifer, but it’s the ease and security of feeling like you belong exactly where you are that only an Aunt can provide.
I have waited several weeks before sharing my review, as I wanted to sample my loose tea purchases to speak on their quality. I can now say with confidence that I am extremely pleased with the quality and authenticity of the teas she has procured. They have a richness that you only find from herbal products sourced directly from their origins in a small batch process, (as opposed to high-manufactured processed products found at “those other” establishments). Through my own international travels the difference can be tasted and I assure you what Jennifer is providing is authentic, organic, and of a healing nature.
Anything missing? I’d love to see Aunt Jenn’s carry a small custom line of Mortar & Pestle Sets. However, in alignment with her shop I would call on a local woodworker or metal craftsperson to design them; Jennifer has, with intention, filled her shop with local Floridian artisans and any new items should be no different.
I’m excited for my next visit and have already recommended the shop to an associate. I hope you find peace, stillness, and a new found friend in your visit as I did. Sending all my gratitude...
Read moreThis weekend I found myself at the charming tea shop in FAT Village known as Aunt Jenn’s Tea & Spice Shop, and what a delight it was! This shop sells loose leaf tea, honey, spices, and other tea accessories. The staff can walk you through some of the options, whether you want to take the tea back home or enjoy a hand-blended beverage at the shop. My niece and I decided to sip and stay. We tried the Strawberry Fields Bubble Tea and the Hibiscus Lemonade, both iced and both very refreshing. We don’t have any places in Flagler Village specializing in tea, so this is the perfect spot for a tea shop. While you’re there, be sure to snap a picture in front of the fabulous mural near the entrance, painted by local artist Benjamin Aviv. The staff here at Aunt Jenn’s was very friendly and helpful, and the interiors have a nice artsy, eclectic vibe. It was a little warm when we visited, but perhaps that’s because the garage door was open, leading to the outdoor seating area. I look forward to returning to Aunt Jenn’s Tea & Spice Shop soon, and definitely want to try some other menu items like the Matcha Latte or London Fog Latte. All in all, we loved our iced tea beverages, and they hit the spot, perfect for a hot sunny day in...
Read moreMy husband surprised me for my birthday and took me to shop for tea since I’m really into the benefits of tea. Not many places left around here that give many options of tea. Luckily, he found Aunt Jenn’s. He called her to get hours and location. Jenn was great. She was in the middle of opening a new storefront but still took time to meet us and open the store for us. The experience was incredible. I was like a kid in a candy store. She never rushed me, and happily explained each tea I was curious about. She even suggested some excellent blends based on health issues I’ve been struggling with. She has an online site that you can order her tea from, which is extremely convenient, but I would strongly suggest for your first time that you visit the store. The aromas of the teas and the knowledge of teas offered by Jenn will have you knowing and drinking things you never imagined. I will be re-ordering my favorites from the website but will still go back on occasion to discover some new blends. ANYONE who loves tea needs to visit this place...
