UPDATE: Iâve now visited this location twice and am sticking with 3 stars.
The bagels themselves for a âbagel and spreadâ enthusiast are something I would recommend.
Apart from that (especially if you are a bagel sandwich type) the product came up short everywhere else.
Their bacon egg and cheese, for example, is not a super pleasant experience. Even asking for it toasted, the bagel portion is so soft it turns into a gooey handheld mess more than a sandwich. I was holding an allegedly toasted bagel sandwich and yet had zero crunch.
I gave them another shot over the weekend, ordering the 2nd St. sandwich that comes with pickled onions as one of the ingredients. I bit into a sweet/savory breakfast sandwich and instead tasted pure raw onion. No pickling whatsoever. Whether it was an honest mistake or not, it was not pleasant. Iâd also gotten a huge amount of avocado and aioli on my hands (Iâm talking about entire palm full) when taking the sandwich out of the bag⊠this was not a mess caused by transporting it, as I ate it on the patio outside. I had to then go inside and wash my hands to come back out and eat my raw onion sandwich⊠I lost my desire to eat anything else after this so I did not ask for it to be remade.
The matcha latte was made with very low quality ingredients, which I expected, but I also did not get more than 1/3 of the way through.
I did have one bagel to go that I toasted and ate with plain cream cheese - it was quite good. If not for that, Iâd go with 2 stars based on my experience

3 stars for now because you canât order a bagel for pickup without signing up for a Bagels & Co. account
I know memberships are rampant these days⊠but do I really need to register in a bagel database for a bacon egg and cheese?
How about I give you the money, you give me the bagel? End of transaction. There is no need to bring passwords into this. People order online to save timeâŠ
Anyway, I cancelled my order at the registration screen and will instead only end up becoming a customer here if I happen to be nearby and hungry with time on my hands.

Regrettably, the quality has gone down considerably recently. I was here a month ago and again today. Both times the "extra extra extra" (emphasis on extra) toasted bagel came out barely toasted to begin with.
The first time I took one bite and threw it away.
Second time (today) I was able to eat it but it wasn't great or exciting. If im going to consume the carb heavy, fat heavy treat, it needs to be worth the calories. Sadly this place doesn't make it worth it.
Gonna look for another place that actually provides extra extra extra toasted service.

Original review: 4.5 stars!!! (Not 4)
Bottomline: yes I'd go again and def recommend.
Full disclosure, i unapologetically am in love with Western Bagel bagels in SoCal, so every bagel is judged comparatively to WB.
Bagels &Co has a beautiful assortment of both savory and sweet schmears.
Service was super nice, super helpful and accommodating to special requests.
My indecision on schmear, led me to order: * 2 Everything bagels extra extra toasted bacon scallion schmear vegetable schmear cucumber dill schmear Zatar schmear
Everything was prepared quickly, so I wasn't waiting long. Service was so so good, they checked in with me to see if the bagels were toasted enough. I really appreciated the attention to detail.
Bagels were so satisfying, the Everything seasoning was on both sides!!!!!!!
Schmear flavors fell short IMO. The bacon scallion was supreme. Chefs kiss. Vegetable and Cucumber were good, not amazing. Zatar was almost flavorless.
Personally, I like my schmear more thick. Yes, these are thick, but I like mine super thick in consistency. These just need a smidge more salt perhaps to get the taste profiles closer on the map.
All that said, these are delicious! There's tons more schmear flavors i still need to try.
Def coming back again!
Outdoor patio seating looked great!...
Read moreHoping they can redeem themselves. I know theyâre new and thereâs lots of growing pains just getting started out. I worked in the service industry for many years and I get it. Theyâre swamped from open til close. Everyone there has been kind and quick in terms of service. Unfortunately, both times I went, before 11 am, they were out of items I was hoping to order. Last time, I made a small modification and chalked it up to them being within their first week of business. Theyâll figure it out.
Unfortunately, today, after waiting in a very long line, I went to order and was told theyâre out of all veggie cream cheeses. Please, if youâre going to advertise as being allergy and vegan friendly, stock up on those products so weâre not disappointed. Also, please list the ingredients in products that are touted as egg or dairy free. Your employees have not been trained which is a bit concerning from an allergen/ cross contamination stand point. As a franchise, Iâm sure this info is made available to store owners or mangers but I have been unable to get that information.
Iâd love to update the review with higher ratings. Iâm posting in the hope that management sees, adds more of these items to their daily order and/ or that they update what theyâre out of accordingly so customers are aware, either in store on one of their many screens or on the website in real time.
The first visit, when I made a modification, they barely put any of the plain veggie cream cheese on the bagel. I paid a âspecialityâ premium to barely have a layer of (plain tofu) cream cheese on each half of the bagel. If we are paying extra for a âspecialty cream cheeseâ, I expect an ample serving, or at least the same as everyone else. Thanks...
