Extremely Disappointed With The Lack Of Customer Service and Integrity!!
Me and my family have been a loyal customer to this establishment from when I was a little girl and once I became an adult and a mother I continued being a loyal customer even with my kids that’s now adults with the exception of one. I’ve always enjoyed stopping by at least 3-5 times a month, I come a lot with my 12 yr old daughter and we visit quite frequently where I’ve build a great rapport with the owner, well at least that’s what I thought until tonight’s visit.
Tonight 7/13, I ordered a banana split as I have the last few visit for myself and a brownie Oreo Confection for my daughter; it was really busy tonight but the line moves fast so I wasn’t alarmed by the crowd. The owner took my order for the banana split and asked if I wanted pecan or nuts and I said no as always, and asked if I wanted a cherry on top which she’s never asked me that before and I said sure. She instantly walked off to start my order but I was letting her know “no whip cream and that I have another item to add I wasn’t done ordering. She signaled the other young lady to add the second ice cream that I wanted for my daughter and they instantly moved me to the waiting window as they normally do where you pay and pick up.
They fixed my order asked if I wanted tops on them I said yes they bagged them up and I walked to my truck, handed my daughter her ice cream removed mines from the bag and my banana split had whip cream all across the top and my ice cream just looked runny and rushed and not appealing as it normally does. I instantly went back to the window spoke with the owner and expressed to her no whip cream, this where everything went LEFT. She was like you didn’t tell me no whip cream and I’m calm still and was like yes I did but you walked off maybe you didn’t hear me, she said I did hear you and you didn’t say no whip cream, ok now I’m like are you going to make me another one without whip cream or you can refund me. She said I’m not refunding you anything and as a one time courtesy I’ll remake it but I won’t do it again, so now of course I’m frustrated with how she’s handling me over whip cream and have the nerves to be loud talking as if we’re not face to face in the window. She then said after this Do Not Return back, and I responded I had no plans on coming back after being disrespected about a mistake you made that could’ve been resolved smoothly quietly and professionally but to my surprise she showed me a side I would have never even thought I’ll witness let alone experience:
I’ve supported this location as I mentioned for decades , I’ve participated in so many surveys per her request and opted out taking the free pint of ice cream just as a loyal customer and I’ve been extremely understanding when mistakes have been made in the past and I didn’t make a big fuss about it. Tonight she has taught me that being loyal and supportive only go as far as they allow it to go and they will treat and dismiss you as if your business isn’t appreciated and respected.

I Asked About The Funnel Cake How Does It Really She Says Everything Is As The Picture Shows I Says Ok Then Ill GraB Just The Funnel Cake Without The Rest How Much She Tells Me Its The Same Price Which Is Totally Ridiculous To Me To Have To Pay The Whole Price For What Looks Like A Small Sample Get Real I'm From New Jersey Where The Funnel Cake Are The Size Of A Take Home Plate An I Wouldn't Dare Accept Such An Insult, So Then I Ask About The Chilli Dog One Of My Favorites From Just About Any where That Knows How To Make Them An Again To My Dismay The Same Young Lady That Gave Me The Info on The Funnel Cake Gave Me A Chilli Dog That Looked Like Somebody Attempted To Put A Little Mediocre Amount Of What Looked Like Wet Amount of Beef With Cheese, So I Asked Her For Some Rectification On The Situation Cause She Just Literally Told Me That Everything's As The Picture Shows However That's Was Not True An When She Would Not Rectify The Situation I Asked For A Manager An She Wrote Down Some Number Telling Me To Call Her Manager An I Said Thats DumB Why Would Or Should I Call Your Manager When You Can Just Fix The Issue Right Now Since I'm Here And It's A Simple Easy Quick Fix It's Just Food An It's Nothing You Said With It Matching The Pictures she Told Me No Then I Asked For A Refund She Didn't Do Neither Pics Follow Totally Terrible Experience Seems Like Dale's Advertising Is Going On & No Real Leadership Is Training The New Underlings For Elevation Of The Company My Advice Fire Rehire And Attempt To Keep Some Type Of Management On Site While The Business Itself Is Open To The Public Cause That Was A Down Right Rude...
Read moreI have gone to this DQ many times as it is within walking distance of my home. I received a birthday coupon twice in my email so tonight after dinner my daughter and I took a walk to have a blizzard. They did not have a scanner. I was upset as it's the only reason I went there. Hey, who wouldn't love a bogo free Blizzard??? So ok no scanner. I wasn't happy but since we waited at least 15 minutes to which we received an apology for the wait, the lady takes my daughter's order and asked to see my last name on the card. What????? I have never been asked that and I visit here often with my son, daughter and pastor! Why would my name matter?? I was told it was for identification purposes yet she did not ask to see my driver's license or state ID! So now I am confused and very uncomfortable.
So if I have a credit card with the name Julie Smith, and they see that name on the card, how will they know it is me and btw my name is NOT Julie Smith!! I feel like this is perhaps a ploy to get numbers off my cards and I am cancelling mine so I now have the inconvenience of waiting 5 to 7 business days for a new card. Great. Happy Birthday to me. I will not be back and for those who do visit, I implore you to pay with cash, lest you show them your card so that they can assure that you are the person using the card. I have never heard of such a thing before. Also there is no scanner so just go ahead and delete that DQ app. It serves no purpose here. What a disappointment this place has become. I did not mind the long line as every time I have visited, there is a wait but the whole let me see your credit card to see if it's really you and just your card, not a picture ID to compare it to, is totally uncool! Doing all of that for some ice cream???? No way!...
