This is the best Chili’s I’ve ever been to. As an 80’s child, Chili’s entered the scene like whoa. I remember going for the $1.50 chips and salsa and waters for the table as a teen, and pretending it was my birthday for the free brownie sundae. I am now 74 according to Chili’s records. But I digress. This particular Chili’s was fire. Not only did we have like 8 servers, they were literally the cutest. Our main chick, we will call her Debra because I forgot her name, brought us napkins 4 times. Homegirl saw how hungry we were after visiting baby horses in West Virginia and was all “I got you and your sticky fingers that may have horse poop on them.” She didn’t actually say that, but it was presumed. As we munched on our Chips & Salsa with a side of ranch perfection (no longer $1.50, thanks Biden), we watched as Timothy (again no idea what his name was) wiped down a table with such integrity and vigor that it was mesmerizing. Free show if I may. It was a solid 4 minutes of scrubbing, including the booth benches, all the crevices. I thought, “damn, I would feel comfortable just naked on these seats after that performance”. Timothy must also clean the floors because when I went to the bathroom, the signature sticky walk was nowhere to be found. I will go to this chili’s every time I visit baby horses in...
Read moreHaving served for 6 years I was saddened by the poor service here. The hostess lacked any sense of hospitality, and without a smile simply said follow me....sat us....walked away. I was met with a poor facial expression from our server once I requested bottomless soup and salad....he folded his book shut before i finished ordering, then proceeded to cross his arms and lean up against a beam while we completed our order. Then 5 minutes later the server came back to confirm my soup and dressing of choice, both were incorrect. Our chips were brought out, but the requested guacamole wasnt brought out till we finished more than half of the chips. The salad was good, but the tortilla soup tasted like a gravy with tons of salt in it. I left it at the edge of the table and our server proceeded to ignore the empty bowl, reaching over it for other dishes from beginning to end of our dining. There was absolutely no sense of pride in serving, nor a perceived desire to be working. I wished I could have seen a glimpse of integrity, it...
Read moreWe stopped into this Chili's location after rehearsal for my girlfriend's upcoming wedding. They were not very busy but we still had a 25 minute wait before we were seated. I had never been to a Chili's before this visit, and honestly I didn't even know there were any still around. The young lady who seated us was great, super kind and friendly. The waitress we had forgot my girlfriend's drink and trying to track her down to get a drink was like hunting for Waldo in a kids book. Once she arrived with our food we were able to request a drink but then she disappeared again and we had to ask a random waitress for refills on everyone else's beverages. The food was pretty bland and none of us requested take home boxes other than the one we put together for our dog.
Atmosphere was nice though. Friendly customers dining while we were there but the couple behind us was having a similar issue with their waitress too. Sad thing is I was rather excited to finally try Chili's but I don't see...
