Let me preface this with the fact that I ate and penned this stone cold sober. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, this is the best Taco Bell I have had the privilege of eating at. In a rare occurrence for the franchise, my order was accurate, timely and hot.
The staff provided the absolute pleasure of marking which crunchwrap was bean and which was beef. A first for me and a breath of fresh air for all vegetarians hesitant of taking their first bite into a precariously filled mystery hexagon.
Besides the incredible service, the food was unlike any Taco Bell I've had the pleasure (or discomfort) of consuming. My beefy five layer cheese burrito was wrapped in the warm embrace of a glutinous, warmed up tortilla reminiscent of an authentic Americanized Mexican restaurant. I was almost expecting to see fresh cilantro and radishes added in a small plastic container after the ecstasy of the first bite.
I implore corporate Taco Bell to throw money at R&D to clone the individuals, ingredients, and processes of the Winchester, VA Taco Bell to provide this same level of perfection...
Read moreLet's face it... It's a Taco Bell, and this one's never really been quick. However, service has gotten considerably slower recently. Tonight was the worst. I entered the drive-thru, with 2 cars between me and the speaker. A little over 10 minutes later, I finally get to the speaker, only to be asked to wait even more. Oh, and it was also necessary for me to ask that they turn the lights on. Several minutes go by, and I ask if they're ready yet, and again, I'm asked to wait some more. Rinse and repeat a few times... Eventually, we pass the 20 minute mark since I entered the drive thru. This time when I ask if they're ready yet, I get more than "One moment please." Apparently, they had run out of meat and there were several order waiting to be filled still. Really? They couldn't warn me about that earlier?! Enough's enough. I get out of my car to see if I could drive forward to leave, which I could. So I suggest to the others behind me that they do the same, and we all leave to find better service (and probably better...
Read moreIt honestly hurts for me to leave a bad review for Taco Bell because it's always been my go to fast food but I've rolled through enough punches with this company. The configuration of the food is inconsistent with each location so you never know what quality you're going to get. This location by far is the worst. I've had to wait in line for over an hour before when there was only four cars in front of me. One time the steak quesarito they gave me was smaller than the nacho fries box. The last time I went was definitely the worst. They had me pull up to wait for a pizza(from the pizza hut half) and said it would just be a few more minutes but after half an hour(after the already 40 minutes in line) I walked back to the window to see what the long wait was about and they said they turned off the oven because the employees wanted to go home so the pizza couldn't be made. What?! I've never heard of such a thing, especially since they were supposed to be open for...
